New Misprint - Planechase

Postby Nyth » 25 Sep 2009, 07:48

Hi guys,

It's not often that I get to add something of value to the scan collection but I believe that this time I have managed to come up with something quite unique (I hope).

Yesterday I was with a friend as he opened up his Planechase Strike Force pack. One of the first things he noticed was that one of his cards was not like the others. After going through the decklist, we discovered that the misprint was supposed to be one of the 2 Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion. The card has a regular MTG back but the following as the front. (Can take a video to prove if necessary).

Is this a new type of misprint or has this been seen before?

Cool, looks like a filler card, one of the oddballs in a sheet that are supposed to be culled.

The card can also be found in German Planechase Packs. It seems this filler card is very common. Unfortunately in my four packs I don't find such a card. :(

Let me speak to the guy who owns it. He may not be parting with it just yet. Although it turns out that he wasn't the only one and another purchase from the same batch had the same problem and it was another land (not sure which deck). Is this a common thing in Planechase precons worldwide?
