Texture Templates, Custom Renders, PSD Template

So, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (does this forum have a place for custom renders and templates?), but I've been working on an M15 Card template. I grabbed one from mtgsalvation, and it just wasn't good enough for me. So I've been chipping away at 'fixing' it the past couple days, and it's much better now (but still not perfect). I was going to post it here, but then spotted some things that look off, so I've still got work to do.

Putting everything possible in vector form, and textures and art in smart objects, with the idea being that I can freely switch the DPI and get renders at higher resolutions if desired. I'd like to be able to render my whole deck in 900dpi for use on my PC, and then downscale to 600dpi to have them printed.

Basically, my goal is to gradually trick out my EDH deck with proxies in the new style; having everything look like the new cards (other than using custom art-focused lands, tokens, and general). I may even blank out some actual cards to print it on rather than using 110lb cardstock like I do right now.

[*]Would anyone here be interested in the PSD when its done?
[*]Does anyone have decent versions of the card textures (like the background for lands, artifacts, and spells of each color).
[*]Can anyone point me to links to where I can get vector images of the various set symbols & differing rarities? I currently have a PDF that has a lot of them (but not all, I have not come across one it didn't have, I'm still implementing the ones it does have)

1) Sure.
2) Unfortunately, no.

P.S. And you're welcome if you can help with the missed vector set symbols.

Okay, great. Once its more ready I'll share it here, & if anyone has anything that could make it better, I will welcome the feedback.

Hmm. That's too bad. The ones I've got are a rough approximation, but they're clearly not right, and clearly based on the sets circa Mirrodin.

Holy Crap that's amazing!

I would be happy to help with some set symbols. I'm not super experienced with vector work (basically just the past week), but I have lots of experience with working in raster.

What's missing?

Fate Reforged has already been done. I'll see what I can manage regarding Commander 2014.

My 600DPI PSD Template is available in my shared files.
Here's an Extended Art Promo Selvala made with it. It also does regular M15, Planeswalkers, Regular Extended Art, and Regular Promos.

The collectors number and event notation is printed in Gotham Medium / Gotham Book respectively.

Doing a comparison, everything on the cards seem to use medium; nothing looked right with Book.

Any tips on what the font is that's used in the P/T Box?

Template Update
[*]Fixed the Set Font, thanks to Skibulk's help.
[*]Added m15ized Full Art Lands, and Extended/Borderless Art Full Art Lands.
[*]Replaced some raster stuff with vector stuff
[*]Added a few more set symbols (Don't remember which ones, I just add them to the template gradually, as I end up wanting them).

Here's an example of an Extended, Borderless, Full Art KTK Mountain:

As you might imagine, it can be tricky to find good artwork that fits a 600DPI card, if you're looking to use official art; especially if you're expanding the art so you can do borderless. But if you can manage it, it looks great.

Any chance of a mini-tutorial on using the template being included in the Shared Files?
or a pointer to self-teaching that would make the template make sense to not-yet-power-users of Photoshop? :)

Thanks!

Hey Darkholme!

I want to make a series of new templates (new and old) from 600 dpi scans. Skibulk offered to help with the scans and suggested you may be able to help as well with Photoshop and stuff. If you're interested, check your private messages for details :)
