Removing the ink pattern on XLHQ scans
I want to use the images shared here to create some proxies for home use. I've printed a couple of XLHQ scans, which was very easy to do well because the scans come with the proper borders. The results are still a little more smudgy than I'd like, which I think has something to do with the ink pattern that is visible on these scans (if you zoom in you see the tiny circles). The smaller 'Full' scans don't have these, but the images are of lower quality and there are no borders.
Is there an easy way in Photoshop to remove the ink pattern in the XLHQ scans and print them to look as vivid and sharp as possible? Or, alternatively, would the best looking proxies be acquired by using the full scans and adding a border somehow?
Thanks for any input and for all the great work!
