Battle for Zendikar LQ Card Images

Postby Bog Wraith » 23 Sep 2015, 03:52

Here are the LQ images of Battle for Zendikar from the Mythic Spoiler web site. As always, these will do until the HQ scans are released later on, once the set has seen some play.

The set has 274 cards but also has what are called "Zendikar Expeditions" which are Mythic Rares that can be found inside packs of this set & consist of 25 land cards and are in a nested folder called "EXP" within the main zip file.

If you spot any errors, spelling or otherwise, please let me know & I will correct them.

Enjoy! 8)

Edit

Thanks goes to Marek14 for pointing out some corrections that needed to be made. They have been corrected and the zip file replaced to reflect these changes.

Edit 2

Now that Forge has BFZ in its latest build, I found 2 cards which needed slight corrections.

They are in the zip file named "2 Card Image Corrections". Replace both in your BFZ folder & make sure to move the EXP folder out of the BFZ one, as Marek14 had suggested, & place it where all the other regular set folders go into which of course is the "cards" folder.

OK, bugs I noticed:

First of all, the Expedition promos should be probably considered their own set (they have different set code, EXP). They are not part of BFZ for legality purposes, for example. I'd move all of them to a separate EXP download.

Second, there are 10 pictures for every basic land, not 5 -- there are always 5 full-art and 5 regular, just like the original Zendikar had 4 full-art and 4 regular.

Akoumb Hellkite -> Akoum Hellkite
Beastcaller Savant has an extra space.
Swarmsurge -> Swarm Surge
Swellofgrowth -> Swell of Growth

Ok, thanks for the corrections on the file names. When you do this yourself, you often miss a few files, which I did here.

As far as the lands are concerned, I got what is available from Mythic Spoiler. Those 5 regular lands were not there in the spoiler, nor are they there now. When I can find them or someone else can, they can post them here in the thread.

As for the Expedition lands, this was what was posted at WotC's Magic site in regards to them:

ONE LAST THING: ZENDIKAR EXPEDITIONS
There's one final thing you need to know about Battle for Zendikar, and we've saved the best for last.

Certain packs of the set will include a very rare version of one of the most iconic lands in Magic's history. Called Zendikar Expeditions, these are both premium foil and full-art! They are printed in English only, but can be opened in packs of all languages. There are 25 different lands that can be found in Battle for Zendikar packs, and you can expect to open one only a little more frequently than a premium foil Battle for Zendikar mythic rare.

These cards are legal in Limited formats like Sealed Deck and Draft. They will only be legal in Constructed formats where the most recent previous printings are legal.

They are in fact legal for certain formats, but your point is taken & I will move them into their own nested folder from within this main zip file.

Again, I only released what was made available from Mythic Spoiler & also went from the info I had from Wizards.

The 4 spelling/naming errors were my own. Thanks for pointing them out!

Since I have the great app "Decked Builder", I had a hunch that I should start it up & check to see if they had the update for BFZ done. I opened it up and saw that an update to the database containing the Battle for Zendilar set was just released & downloaded the update.

They had the 25 regular basic lands that were not on the Mythic Spoiler site.

I have included all 25 lands, each colour starting from 6-10, and uploaded them here in a zip file.

Thanks go to the folks who maintain & update the Decked Builder program which I use on a regular basis on iOS & Mac platforms along with their iOS app Decked Drafter which I also constantly use!

Yes, they are legal in certain formats, but, and that's the important thing, not the same ones BFZ is legal in, namely Standard.

No, they are legal in both Sealed & Draft & for me those are just as important as Standard!

The fact that WotC feels that way is what is important to me, therefore neither of the 3 formats are anymore important then the other.

That I've put them in a separate folder is enough of a delineation for me. When Forge decides how & where the Expedition cards are stored, then folks will take the appropriate action & put them where the program will access them from.

Many thanks for the LQ images !
probably outdated by now so you should avoid : Innistrad world for Forge (updated 17/11/2014)
Duel Decks for Forge - Forge custom decks (updated 25/10/2014)

My pleasure.

Thank you for all you do for Forge. I especially like what you have done for the Quest module with the inclusion of the plane of Innistrad.

Most enjoyable indeed! 8)

Thanks for the upload! One note for my fellow Linux users - our OS is case-sensitive. You'll need to rename these images from <Cardname>.Full.jpg to <Cardname>.full.jpg for Forge to see them. I'm partial to pyRenamer, but your preferred method may vary.

Yes & the other was "Noyan, Dar, Roil Shaper.Full.jpg" which had an extra comma. It should be "Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper.Full.jpg"
