I contacted the seller about scanning Edgar cards once before but I never received a reply. This time I'd like to offer an incentive for them to produce the scans. If you would be willing to contribute, please PM me the US dollar amount you would be willing to send to kidicarus2000.

Well the idea is that multiple people could contribute a small amount. I don't know the sweet spot, but I'm thinking $400 dollars would do. That would be $200 / hour labor!

Kidicarus2000 is a jerk. I have contacted another collector who has a complete set. They have agreed to scan the cards for $125.

Our source for the scans has been busy traveling, attending events, had a baby, and his scanner broke. He says it is now fixed and that he will produce the scans soon. I have given him a deadline of December 2nd, right before our PayPay purchase protection ends.

Jumping on the thread as I've always been fascinated by the Edgar set. I have 1200dpi scans for the dual lands, blue hurricane and Serendib Efreet. And no, unfortunately I never owned the cards myself, before you ask I'm willing to join the pledge, if that helps our source to produce the scans earlier.

Your Source is not the original owner of the complete set. The complete set has been scanned by the owner but I don't think that you can use the scans provided on full Ultra Pro pages. PM me if needed so I can provide the dropbox link. Take care.

Quick Update:

Once our source actually started scanning things, he realized that his collection of loose (non-graded) Summer Magic cards isn't as complete as he thought it was. He does have a complete graded collection, but he keeps it in a bank vault and doesn't want to withdraw it for scanning. He offered to scan loose cards as he acquires them, although it could take a long time to complete the set. I have received 127 card scans so far, including all 10 dual lands. He issued a full refund, although I have offered partial payment for the scans and I established a tiered payment schedule to encourage him to complete the work. He has not scanned Blue cards, Artifacts, or basic Lands yet, so hopefully we can get up around 200 scans in the coming months. I found an eBay seller with a large summer magic collection. They plan to sell their cards in about a year from now. They said they would contribute their scans at that time, which I hope will nearly complete our collection.

Now that it's summertime in the northern hemisphere... any update on this topic? Any way the general collective can help (monetarily or otherwise?)

Good news! Over the recent time period, I've collected scans from a variety of additional sources and am very close to having a full set to process. (For a set this rare and valuable I figure piecing together from multiple sources is reasonable if we can't get everything easily from one place.) At the moment there's only seven cards I still need, either because I don't have an image larger than the ancient magiclibrarities ones or because the scan I have has some issue:

• Blue Elemental Blast
• Llanowar Elves
• Lord of Atlantis
• Nevinyrral's Disk
• Scathe Zombies
• Stone Rain
• Winter Orb

If I can source those, a whole set of these is within reach:



In terms of what anyone else can do... The biggest possible benefit is if you know of someone with a collection or a group of singles for sale who might be able to provide one or more of these images. My efforts so far have been surprisingly fruitful and I still have a few other potential routes to hit up, but for now we'll have to wait and see where I or someone else can get them from.

These are both a bit small. I know there have been some sales of at least the elves in the last six months so I'm hoping someone involved with one of those who I spoke to recently can hook me up there.
