Ongoing ultra rare foils, like Zendikar Expeditions, for every block. Beautiful, but these are going to be difficult to collect scans for unless we can find a reliable source -- we're still four cards off finishing the Expeditions.

Hi

The Expeditions cards are finished, the 4 missing cards were added according to a previous comment from Charlequin. Now, after reading the full announcement of Masterpiece Series cards, it's not mentioned which specific New Rarity they belong to, example:

Aether Vial
006/054 S
MPS . EN

Does someone knows the precised and specific New Rarity (for now, I have name them Masterpiece Series on the subsection I have created on Magiclibrarities) ?

Sorry, I must have spoken unclearly somewhere. I'm still hunting for a source on the last four.

Sorry, I misunderstand your previous comment, they are indeed still missing.

It appears inventions exist with two different types of foling: Just the border in foil, or whole card in foil. See comments on last page of this thread:

Reply from the customer service. Take what you want from it.

First of all, congratulations on your Invention! Secondly, I want to clarify that there is no difference between the Masterpieces distributed to different countries. I cannot go into details about the production and distribution details, but I can confirm that they do not differ depending on the region that you are in.

What you are seeing is a recurring “double rainbow” pattern foil, the pattern and position of which varies from card to card, because the width/repetition of the pattern is different than the width of the card. This appears as differences in reflectivity and color; it is intentional and is not a defect. The Magic team wants to assure you that this is how the cards were designed, and that they are printed correctly.

If you would like to provide feedback on this approach to the cards, we would welcome your words and ideas as we strive to make improvements to our products. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again. Good luck and have fun!

===> The customers service apparently replied one of the member but I cannot understand the point :/
Maybe just different printing style?
Zemdikar Expeditions look fine, I didn't notice 4 of them were missing

I released the last four after that post, forgot to mention it in this thread. The Zendikar Expeditions are complete, although I would still like to do a followup release with corrected color.

Per the MPS foiling, there may be one or two misprints, but from what I've seen, they are pretty consistent and my guess is that diffferent people are using different lighting to photograph and that may be more the issue. I think the foiling on the border is using more of a raw foil and the art and text boxes are purposefully more matte to make it look like there is metal in the frame. The different texturing is causing it to look flat by comparison which is more pronounced depending on the light source and angle. It is possible these are being foiled in a two step process where the card goes through abnormal foil process and then a shiny foil process and one or two cards missed the first foiling process, but my guess is the majority of cases are simply a perceptual issue as I have yet to see two different foilings side by side for comparison.
