Well looking at Tarmogoyf, I guess they have kept the tradition going. I suppose we should leave it as it then.

So... Looks like the card scans I have on my desktop are the 200dpi fulls. Downloading the XLHQ torrent now, which will take some time. I've found some of the older images in hi-res from places, so I will likely use those in place of the XLHQ scans where applicable. Once I have all the images in order, I'll do another render.

Little late here, but the new preview renders do indeed look great and once they have high-rez art they should look pretty fantastic. The one other issue I saw that wasn't already mentioned was with Hydro/Pyroblast -- the em dash after "Choose one" is missing.

I will fix that before the next render.

There are several other MTGO-exclusive sets:

Vintage Masters
Tempest Remastered
Commander Deck: Deathdancer Xira
Commander Deck: Enchantress Rubinia
Legacy Decks: Boltslinger and Exiler
Duel Decks: Mirrodin Pure vs. New Phyrexia
Holiday Cube
Vanguard Avatars
MTGO Tokens
"Planeswalker" Gold Border Cards

There may be more. I stopped keeping track.

Edit: Other Digital Cards include:
DotP promo cards
Microprose "Astral" cards
Sega Dreamcast cards

Here is all sets before additional processing (art still in progress). If someone could proof read them and make sure there is no errors, I'll continue with getting all the art set up for a final render.

@skibulk other than Vintage Masters and Tempest Remastered, do any of those MTGO sets have distinct set id or expansion symbol?

None of them have a paper equivalent.

These have unique symbols:

Commander Deck: Deathdancer Xira
Commander Deck: Enchantress Rubinia
Legacy Decks: Boltslinger and Exiler
Duel Decks: Mirrodin Pure vs. New Phyrexia

These have the MTGO logo as the symbol: Holiday Cube

Vanguard Avatars: Several new avatars have been released online, that were never printed. Granted, none of them have abilities.

MTGO Tokens: Many tokens have been created as counterparts to old cards, which did not have corresponding tokens printed in tandem.

Planeswalker cards are more modern, but they have Gold Borders

I don't have an MTGO account, so getting these symbols may pose a bit of a problem. Here's what I've found so far;

Legacy Decks: Boltslinger and Exiler

Duel Decks: Mirrodin Pure vs. New Phyrexia

Quality isn't so great, looks like they are direct rips from the client.

My current plan is to include the six digital booster sets (Masters Editions I - IV, Vintage Masters, and Tempest Remastered) in the next sets torrent. I already have digital mockups of the latter two (with some art still to replace in VMA) and then these ones ahkren is working on now.

For the Holiday Cube I've been gathering the unique art to eventually do mockups for those cards, probably to include in the Promo torrent. I've been doing the same with MTGO-exclusive promos that have art unused in print.

The Tokens are definitely something I'd like to see done but it's also a big project... my hope is that someone could compile a list (there's some good starting points out on the web already) and then we could go from there.

The Vanguard avatars... I think we actually have old mockups of those already, I'll look.

I do also want to make at least a pass through the DotP games for any other unique art that hasn't seen print elsewhere -- I know there's a couple in 2013 but not sure if there's anything after that.

@ahkren

Access the MTGO Collection Tab Without an Account

I forgot to mention that more cards are shown under /Filters/Other Products/, including Vanguard Avatars, Planes, and Tokens.

The Cube cards have a unique symbol, too.

The symbols you posted are direct rips from the application and I never found better quality references. The Commander decks use the same icon as the legacy decks. If you want to render the precon cards at least, I can find time to vectorize the symbols. As Charlequin said, it will take longer to sort the promos and tokens.

@Charlequin

There have been many, many more Avatars released since the renders were made.

I should be able to set up the precons without too much issue. The decklists are available, so it is mostly copy and paste from other sets to add them to the database.
I have a lot of the token art that was posted on wizards site for mtgo and have most of them available for render in cardgen. Attached is the token database I have. It's possible that I am missing some, but it is mostly complete.

They are using different symbols for "You make the cube" and "legendary cube". I started a thread a while back documenting the Holiday Cube's alternate artwork and artists that it contained.

Edit: From what I see on youtube, the original holiday cube used regular cards with the appropriate set symbols. Except for the alternate art cards, which used the "Promo" symbol, as you posted above.

Edit Edit: There's a list of tokens in an XML file that's installed with MTGO, it that would help.

I have the Legendary Cube symbol, don't have a good quality You Make the Cube icon to go off of yet. I broke down and spent the money to get the basic edition of MTGO so I can at least figure out what image they have in each set. So I have the xml, which can be parsed as soon as I figure out the structure. I can't find where MTGO puts the expansion symbols yet.

I have what I hope is the final MED render using xrop images. Still working on images for ME2, ME3, and ME4.
Images are here.
