In case you need them, here's ELD for applying your upscale method to.

Here is ELD, including tokens:

Don't forget - download the zip rather than the folders to avoid Google Drive messing up filenames.

Thank you as always Mark, I really appreciate the work you put into the program and for getting us these for each and every set since you started this!

Downscaling HQ images to LQ optimized
by kevlahnota » 03 Oct 2019, 17:38
Im impressed by your work, I try to make a LQ image downscale from HQ I think its also good (reversed from your method)
sample image 574x800, 45kb size:
another sample 574x800, 85kb size:
problem is, processing of cards is very slow because of compression, but its decent for mobile LQ images...

Thanks this is helpful. Are the code samples an artificial example of what you could use OCR for? Can't think of another reason why you'd insert code-snippets as images.This is an interesting project. Have you dabbled with OCR at all? I think you might get better results if you use machine learning to re-construct the card without the text and then layer the text back in using a real font. You can use OCR to detect positioning and line breaks, to calculate leading. Microsoft's OCR service is pretty awesome:

It would be so nice if You guys umpscaled and improved HQ PNG images from scryfall to the highest quality possible instead of focusing on LQ ones. The other project sadly seems to be completely dead.

Yeah i wonder how upscaling the 300DPI Scryfall images would look. whats the point of doing it on low res pics when HQ ones are available online

There is a trial version of Gigapixel AI. It is easy to use and pretty efficient.MaxMtg wrote:Can you please upscale theros beyond death?

672x936 Klothys, God of Destiny (from Scryfall)
x2 -> 1344x1872

672x936 Nylea, Keen-Eyed (from Scryfall)
x2 -> 1344x1872

The output is far better when the input is clean though. Maybe it is possible to get better results with the manual settings.
