So I need everyone's opinion on something. I have been working on editing the images and so far I think I have everything down but I can't decide on the sharpening level that should be used. Which of the following do you think is the best:

40%

| Open

50%

| Open

60%

| Open

What does everyone think of these? I think 40% is a bit blurry but can't decide between 50% or 60%. 60% may be just a bit over sharpened.

50% seems about right. 60% is definitely too sharp.

a quick aside, are these place holders for the official release? or are these the official ones? i'm asking because the one thread that holds the official releases is not yet updated.

I don't know how 2 threads were started? Interesting. And no these are not the official released images from the HQ team. They are images I have been working on to better understand the process the HQ team goes through and hopefully one day help out.

Here is a shot of images (split side by side) to give you a comparison of what the images would look like without the color adjustment (Left) compared to the image with the color adjustment (Right).

All other steps performed on the images were the same. Its not designed to be very aggressive.

Also I resampled the pictures and left out the color level adjustment steps so they would appear more like the official release. If you want to take a look at them they can be downloaded here:

I will be intested in finding out how they compare to the official release by the HQ team. If extreme or any of the other HQ members wants to take a look and do a comparison and let me know how close I am and what I could do to better perfect them images that would be great!

I still have the original scans sent to me, but I would suggest if someone that typically does the scanning for the team has the set they rescan. Let me know if you want what I have. I also could re-upload the processed images I did for whomever way back when. I could even reprocess them from what I have learned since I originally did the images.
