Here's a question for you archivists out there:

I have some Archenemy schemes at an odd picture size of 680x960. These are neither fulls nor XLHQs. Any idea where I got them, or how they came to be?

We have the scans for theros, I'm just waiting for Decked Studios to send their processing samples.

The archenemy scheme cards are oversized cards. Two regular cards placed side by side take up exactly the same area as an archenemy scheme. So those dimensions are HQ / 200DPI, as far as oversized goes.

Doesn't show any HQ schemes. So I'm not sure where I got my incomplete set, but I downloaded them from somewhere recently because I've had HDD failures and don't have any old stuff.

extreme is going to make a 480x680 set for me, that's what I'm going with for now. Maybe we'll do the 680x960's too which actually seems more correct. It's up to him though.

The torrent will be out in a day or so, I'm only holding up due to this stupid ARC Schemes problem actually. It won't be as complete as I like, but it's a damn good starting point.

BTW, anyone who has access to the current sync folder PM me so you can help seed the torrent.

The 680x960's came from the Magic Album torrent. Which is missing five cards, six if you count the back.

Yes, my last post was cryptic: I only posted a link, no colorful commentary, no explanation, no sales pitch, no nothing.

I kind of wanted to just ease into the thing, but now, with almost 200 downloads of the torrent and 75 people downloading, I'll try to be more explanatory and, you know, make it all

The New MTG HQ Pics Torrent is Released.

Oh yes, there's quite a bit missing, and that will be fixed, I assure you, but there's a lot of good stuff there too.

The last Complete Pics torrent stopped at 10E, and was released November 12, 2007, pretty much six years ago. It was 3 GB and had 93 Fulls sets.

A lot has changed since then.

This torrent stops at M14, has 113 sets in the Fulls folder (and that's with quite a few missing!), and is 15.5 GB in size, over five times bigger. It includes XLHQs, the Tiny Crops and some 4KHQs for good measure. Those are new. Compared to six years ago anyway.

Please download this new torrent, take a look, and tell me what I've left out. If YOU don't tell me, I won't be able to fix it.

The sets in this torrent have been completed, corrected, spell checked, new naming standards created...well, let's just say there's stuff here that you won't get anywhere else, because we don't mirror these sets, and we don't create them to mimic our standards but to a lesser quality; we create them to the highest standard, a standard we have created and refined over the years, and nobody checks them like I do, no matter how hard I've tried to get someone else to do it.

And believe me, I've tried. And failed. Like, many, many times. Which is just one reason it's taken so long for the update. But now it's here, and it's pretty good I think.

As I promised before, when the new torrent came out, I would start a new topic, so this topic is now unstickied, and the new one has taken its place. It's a bit sad for me, because at almost 780,000 views and 1735 replies it's by far the most viewed and longest lived topic on this forum. This topic is original, from near the time this forum went public, Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 10:47 am is when I posted it, as a carryover from my most popular topic at MWSData. The HQ Pics are the linchpin of this forum to my mind, they are the single thing I brought over from MWSData that gave us time to build a new forum with a broadened focus.

Maybe one of these days I'll tell you the story of how the HQ Pics came to be.
