Code: Select all
GTC   Domri Rade Emblem
MMA   Elspeth, Knight-Errant Emblem
M14   Garruk, Caller of Beasts Emblem
DDI   Koth of the Hammer Emblem
M14   Liliana of the Dark Realms Emblem
M13   Liliana of the Dark Realms Emblem
DKA   Sorin, Lord of Innistrad Emblem
AVR   Tamiyo, the Moon Sage Emblem
DDI   Venser, the Sojourner Emblem
I have a question about the torrent sync - Is it possible to select not to download certain files. If I only want the XLHQ images for instance, can I uncheck the HQ images?

Thanks for the list!

I don't think you can select what you want, you'll have to wait for a proper torrent to do that.

Thanks, we have them all.

Now, I need something that will list the dimensions and dpi of pics in a folder.
I use an app called DirLister, but it doesn't show that a card is say 480x680 96dpi. This is imperative for my quality control. Does anyone know of such an app?

Windows File Explorer -> Detail View -> Right click top column bar and select Dimensions as a viewable column will show dimensions. There may be in Windows 7/8 more options available.
Or are you using a Mac?

Do you have windows explorer? View the folder in "Details View". Right click the column headings (Name, Date, Type, Size) and choose "More". Check "Dimensions" and "Horizontal Resolution". Then click the column to sort by it. All of the off-sizes will be at the top or bottom of the list.

To check the contents of multiple folders at once, use the windows search for a period "." All files in sub directories to the current folder will be shown since all of them have a file extension with dot jpg.

edit: Aww wooger, you beat me to it.

Windows 7 can do that by default. Just go to the Details view and then right-click the columns, pick More, and check Dimensions, Horizontal Resolution, and Vertical Resolution:

Of course, the dpi value stored in the JPG is more or less a lie and meaningless. We know the "real" dpi of these magic cards is around 200dpi, but whatever program created the JPGs (PhotoShop?) just put 96dpi into the file. Again, this is meaningless to digital images unless you're going to print them, and even then, the dpi is basically your choice, based on how you size the image on your paper when printing. It's only 200dpi if you actually print it to be the same size in inches/cm as actual MTG cards.

Come on dudes, I know how to use Explorer.

I need to automatically list thousands of cards, at one time, to easily spot discrepancies. I'm already spending too many hundreds of hours on this project to go into each set, then list, then view, then sort, etc.

What are you trying to find out? I don't see a problem here that Explorer listings isn't solving.

So your looking for something that will analyze the image spec's and spit out the files that are different?

Sounds like a job for ImageMagick's 'identify' tool and 'grep' ... a few seconds later you can see every non-480x680 file.

Or if your running vista and beyond active X has a WIA.ImageFile object that can be used. ImageMagick sounds easier though :)

Edit:
And quicker for the result sets.

It sure it, but I do a lot of stuff from Linux, and that's where I have all the HQ pictures at anyway:

Code: Select all
morph4:/var/www/ark/mtg/cards/Magic 2013> identify *.jpg
Acidic Slime.full.jpg JPEG 480x680 480x680+0+0 DirectClass 1.6e+02kb
Ajani, Caller of the Pride.full.jpg[1] JPEG 480x680 480x680+0+0 DirectClass 1.6e+02kb
Ajani's Sunstriker.full.jpg[2] JPEG 480x680 480x680+0+0 DirectClass 1.6e+02kb
...

morph4:/var/www/ark/mtg/cards/Magic 2013> identify *.jpg | grep -v 480x680
morph4:/var/www/ark/mtg/cards/Magic 2013>
No results on that 2nd command mean no matches (They're all 480x680). It's pretty trivial to recurse into all subdirectories, and/or only match certain file patterns though.
