Where is the list of cards that you are missing? I'm going to Spiel in Essen in a week, they'll probably have German cards there.
PresetM, do you have a list? I'm going tomorrow...

I haven't seen this question asked, probably with good reason, but do high res scans of the large world championship prize cards exist? (the alternate art power nine, that are about two feet high).

nope, didn't even know they existed. And i guess they are unique, so no chance in getting scans.

Iirc, these were not printed, but are actual pieces of art (i.e. paintings) in special frames.

That's exactly what they are. They are Vintage Championship trophies. So far Wizards has given out Black Lotus (2003), Timetwister (2004), Ancestral Recall (2005), Mox Pearl (2006), Mox Jet (2007), and Mox Ruby (2008).

It would be great to be able to use these in MWS. I've been searching for the art so i could put them in a frame, but so far I only found Black Lotus =/

they could be recreated if we have art at sufficient resolution

Black Lotus by Christopher Rush

This was the best I could find. I don't think WoTC just has the art just lying arroung for us to see...

Wizards has made it very difficult to find decent scans of the art, it seems.

Ugh. The pearl is blurry.

I can't see why would they do it, it's just the art for a trophy =/ Besides, the new Moxen art is just plain brutal

Better quality pics of the Gencon alternate Mox paintings can be found on Volkan Baga's website:

http://www.volkanbaga.de/seite_paintings.html

So, I think the only one that reasonable quality artowrk can't be found is Ancestral Recall:

Thanks. It's a shame that the art isn't available, as it would make for some cool playtest proxies!

(Thanks for the Volkan Baga site, he looks to be on par with Donato Giancola with his skill and style!)
