I know a guy who has a complete (!) summer set. But the chances to scan this set are 0.0 (in words: zero). Sorry.how are the chances to get our hands on a Summer Magic set?

He won't scan it for "ethical" reasons or we can bribe him?PresetM wrote:I know a guy who has a complete (!) summer set. But the chances to scan this set are 0.0 (in words: zero). Sorry.

Marco, do you have an idea of the value of a complete summer set? Here are some actual examples of single cards:
$569.00 Summer Savannah Lions
$770.99 Summer Stasis
$2391.66 Summer Shivan Dragon
The value of a complete mint set is around 250.000,00 US Dollar.
What do you think, which amount of money would be a bribary in this case?
And, consider, a guy who can buy such a set must have a lot of money...

I know that, but scanning cards don't destroys them. I just don't get it why someone wouldn't want to scan them. It doesn't even decrease the value of the cards.PresetM wrote:Marco, do you have an idea of the value of a complete summer set? Here are some actual examples of single cards

It does, because the cards are well protected. I see it on my own cards. When I want to scan a set, I have to remove all cards from the sleeves first, put them after this on the scanner. It is not easy to take the cards back from scanner without doing little (micro) damages on them. And what, when a card accidently damaged in this process? I can't go in the next card shop and buy a mint summer card, even when I have the money I cannot buy such a card.

right, but on the other hand, the alpha set was done exactly like that. They didn't leave the boxes they were in.

Honestly, if I had a full Summer Set, I'd scan it for the fun of it. Even to show to the poor people that will never have a chance of owning one.
And hey, since an alpha set was scanned, why not scan the summer one? Ask your friend

I don't know how much this helps, but this guy on eBay has a LOT of the Summer cards, and he scanned them at a high resolution, for everyone to see...

I'm in contact with Magik321 since weeks. He promised me to make high quality scans of the cards. Let us see what will happen...

Hi, I may arrange scans of my excess Summer Magic. Just need to get a decent scanner. The two mentioned above are in my excess so can be doneextreme wrote:ready !
about summer magic, I'd be delighted even with a blue hurricane and a serendib efreet.
On another matter - I have a complete German Revised "Beta" which I am happy to scan too - has there ever been a HQ scan done for these?
Cheers
