Just wanted to correct a few comments made about the set names and specific promos placements within those sets.
These are the correct placements of all these cards
Pre-Release and Release - PRE and REL
Book Promos - BKP
- Jace Beleren - BKP. It should not be HPB unless you want to rename all the HPB ones and make a general book promo category.
Game Day Promos - GDY
Buy A Box Promo - should really be BAB since that's what the campaign is called.
Grand Prix Cards - GPC
Pro Tour Cards - PTC
I can't confirm
Archangel as a Promo either.
Arena - ARE
These lands need to be numbered in a way that reflects their year otherwise there will always be duplicates. This is what GH's Magic Album does better than MWS. Whatever system you do use will require renaming the JPG files.
The actual classification of a series of cards is quite interesting given that they share a numbering system.
1-20 are technically all GTW which is a now defunct program. It did skip Lorwyn for no apparent reason.
12
Dauntless Dourbark is in the GTW numbering system but was the last Champs/States promo and the only non-extended art card. It therefore should end up in the CHP classification although other people may disagree.
21 and onwards are all WPN (which replaced the GTW program) apart from the GDY prizes.
28, 29, 34, 35, 38, 39 are all GDY promos.
The Mystery 23 card may turn up one day, but who knows...
The Play Magic 2009
Steward of Valeron promo opens up a new category especially if we see a similar one for 2010. If we don't, it can happily sit in the regular PR folder.
I like the idea of ANI as Anniversary but it will complicate categorizing
Rukh Egg,
Char,
Kamahl, Pit Fighter and
Reya Dawnbringer. Since
Rukh Egg is both a REL and ANI,
Char could be considered a Play Magic 2008 card as well as an ANI, Kamahl Pit Fighter is pure ANI, and
Reya Dawnbringer is REL and ANI.
As a one card category, I'm not sure Worlds WRL needs a separate category rather than just being in PR. That's my opinion on any one card category such as the Jace promo and Play Magic, etc.
Using Bundle BND for the Wal-Mart/Target promos may be misleading especially since you've classified Garruk's XBox card in the same category. It would be better off calling it Resale RSL and leaving Garruk in a new Digital Games Promos category since with more games planned over 2010 and 2011, I'm sure we will see more.
The Dengeki Japanese promos also need to be added since they're unique.
