The 2004 decks are unique, in that every card from all four decks is on the new Eighth Edition frame. So you have cards from Sourge, Legion, etc. in the new frame, when the originals were in the classic frame.
As an example, have a picture:
I do have a scanner, but I don't have the time to take care of scanning the 1996 set yet. When I get the chance, do you have 2004? I could scan that too.
[ps - On second thought, I'd have to say that my 1996 box is NM. I got it used from eBay for $60 about a year ago. Some of the cards have extremely minor wear around the edges, which I think would get cropped anyway (if I were to do this for MWS).
