As I posted in another thread:

Goblin Hero released Theros in the Magic Album Torrent. Huggybaby will be posting an update for the normal torrent when he is able to find time.

(Almost) Complete !

Postby Zonarke » 28 Jan 2014, 19:19

Hi everyone !

Here is the (almost) complete folder of HQ pics for Theros. I used the link given by themisto (thank you dude !) and I renamed them all. Almost complete because 15 of the 20 pictures for the basic lands are missing.

Enjoy !

(Because i'm a new user, it seems that I can not give the link to download. Interested persons, please send me a PM)

Extreme has pointed out that the inner framed black area's don't match the added border frame. Which is infact true since I did no adjustment's to the inner frame levels after applying the profiling. I noticed while working with the M15 images that the color profiling doesn't change the white/dark tones and *should* actually be adjusted to match the border colors. If need be I can go back and do so for the images I did for the BNG/THS/JOU set. I personally don't see a need to do so, and would opt to start really using the color profiling with any adjustments necessary for the black/white tones starting with the M15 set strictly for tracking purposes. It's a much easier spot in set release to say "profiling started with set X" that way.

So you're saying the border colors will be matched going forward?

In the M15 and beyond sets the black tones across the entire image should match yes. That is how I plan on doing them that is. There has been debate on how the newer framed sets will be processed going forward and I think skibulk and I may eventually reach a point that we simply agree to disagree. But we shall see... :D

Then I wouldn't worry about matching those other sets unless you just have a lot of spare time one week.

Attached is a side by side example of what I mean by a black/white adjust image compared to a non-adjusted image.
(left darkened, right not)

No argument there. But as I mentioned, the black level adjustments with profiling won't begin occurring till M15. If skibulk, extreme, or any other image processor wants to correct the images from BNG/THS/JOU that I posted containing the profiled editing they can do so by removing the black borders, adjusting the levels and then reapplying the borders (or select the inner image area and making the adjustments).

@woogerboy21

It would be easier to batch the color correction on the cleaned cards, without the border. Do you have them? I'm not convinced that you're sizing your frames properly either. Compare your JOU Oppressive Rays to your JOU Oreskos Swiftclaw. The cropping is one matter, but the size of the card frame seems to change, too. IE, one card frame is wider than the other.

There all ran though the dame PhotoShop action scripts at the same time. I can double check I didn't Bork over the step some how but I would expect all the card images to be messed up if its the same set.

And I do have the images without borders , though removing the borders from the existing images could be batched just as easy . Let me know if you want the images without borders some were.

Edit:
Just double checked, inner frame is 1350x1940 across the two images in the 600dpi form and then sized down from that image. If you would like to double check feel free. All you have to do is change the canvas size on the 600dpis to the inner frame size and see if it crops anything off the inner frame.

And the outer frame is identical. You can see that from the properties of the file or in PS.

Plus you know the steps and how the smaller images are derived from the larger.

If you have another place I can put it let me know. Looks like the bigger sites that used to be used aren't possible to use (ie mediafire).
