is there a similar project for warcraft?

Postby quocko » 23 Apr 2009, 22:31

first off id like to say that the work you guys do here is amazing. i havent played magic since right when mercadien masks was coming out and seeing the various scans you guys do here has made me get back into the game(in real life)

i was wondering if there were HQ scans of the warcraft CCG as well. you guys probably arent working on that here but having played WoW for a few years im intrigued.

We would LOVE to have other CCG's represented here, all we need is for someone to start submitting scans. I've seen other pics out there, like Pokemon for example, but nothing HQ and nobody has contacted us. So if you have a nice collection and a good scanner, please join our team! Our turnaround time on processing is quite rapid.

I seem to remember seeing WoW already being done, and continually updated. If it is done, and I can find it again, I'll post links & stuff ASAP.

Found it! :D
caveat: I know absolutely nothing about WoW TCG. I just stumbled across this a month or so ago.

World of Warcraft for MWS is being developed and updated on the WoW forums at Upper Deck by someone named Tinytode.

The newest release (6.1) has it up to "Blood of the Gladiators."
This thread has everything you need. MWS Version 6.1 - BoG & The New Crafted Cards!!!!

1.) Get both the 6.0 Full Install(97.8mb) and the 6.1 BoG(15.7mb) patch from the thread above.
2.) Save a copy of your current MWS default theme somewhere else. Do this before running the installs!!
3.) Run the 6.0 Full Install, answering yes to overwriting your default theme.
4.) Run the 6.1 patch.
5.) Rename the overwritten default theme to WoW theme, World of Warcraft theme, or something similar.
6.) Put your saved copy of the MWS default theme back in the theme folder. Do this before you start MWS!!
7.) Start up MWS.
8.) Go to "Open Libraries" and pick the Warcraft.mwBase from your main MWS folder. This loads the base, cards & pics.
9.) Change your theme to the theme you renamed in step #5.

You should now be ready to make decks and play WoW on MWS.

To get back to Magic just hit Ctrl M and change your theme back.

Thanks kenaustin.

I wish we could get the pics alone rather than built in to a theme, but that seems to be the best way to change MWS. At least, that's the way Pokemon and NetRunner are done.

I was going to make a SW CCG masterbase, but it seems as if i'd have to change MWS itself, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to even attempt it
I like being bad... it makes me happy...
