Introduce Yourself!

Postby Kl3p_co. » 08 Jun 2009, 15:44

Hello everyone, as we reached the 1,000 users count, I was brought on an idea of an Introduction Thread. This is meant especially for new users, who have just registered and would like to introduce themselves.
You really don't have to write your CV or something in that kind, just a few greeting words, things like what card game do you play, or if you program some TCG program, and what are you expecting of this forum, maybe some suggestions after looking through it would be helpfull to the staff and they would appreciate it in my opininon :-) .

Hey guys my name is James. I'm very new to the community and am currently in search of other people who play MTG in Dubai.

I love playing white weenie, white being the color of choice. Currently I'm looking for Ultra Pro sleeves because my old sleeves are already worn.

Is anyone here based in Dubai? If so, where do you usually meet up and play?

Thanks! Can anyone help me in contacting Nyth? Does he play the MTG Card game or MTGO?

Thanks,

James

Wow... Another Dubai player...
I guess we'll see you down at our FNM this weekend...

Just so people on here know, Dubai's Magic crowd used to be tiny and it used to be hard to get enough people together for a draft most days. These days we've got over 30 regulars and growing. Soon we'll outgrow the location we play at.

Our forum website can be found at: http://www.wizardsofthegulfcoast.com/

Any other players wanting to find out more about our games can check out that website which also discusses WoW, DnD, WarHammer, etc...

Hi I'm from Queensland, Australia.

I'm really new to the game Magic. Had been playing the xbox 360 version for a month, then a week ago, a mate showed me the real thing and now am hooked. Have over 300 cards and my collection just keeps growing, as I beg, swap or buy new cards.

Came across your site after looking for a program to help me keep track of my cards and decks. Found Magic Assistant which runs great in Ubuntu.

Then went looking for an online game and found MWS, ouch painful but at the moment is there any better alternative?

Well there is Magic Online(presonally, I think its a great alternative, where you can learn how to play and draft), but as it costs relatively a lot of money(Well, if you think about it, giving away money for digital cards is really crazy :-) ), I dont use it as often as MWS :-)

I'd rather save the money and spend it on real cards :P but thanks for the tip.

I'm using Wagic on the PSP (a great app :D )to help me learn the ins and outs of the game.

I must admit that the MWS community has been great. Never once have I played someone who didn't want to spend the time to show me the ropes, a big thumbs up to them all.
