New forum theme

Postby Goblin Hero » 10 Jun 2009, 10:54

Tired of default theme you can see on 9999999 forums?Here it is! New commercial theme for our forum.
I will do some tweaks to it but nothing serious.
What do you think. Vote, pls!
P.S. Look to the left. There's a magic thing there called "Style Switcher". Try it!

There's not "response" button and ONE BIG problem: the mod's doesn't work. This is because they're installed by style: they exist at subsilver/prosilver theme but not at this.

Change the them of a phpbb3 it's a dificult choice but I recoment to use one style that extends some basic theme like subsilver or prosilver to avoid some kind of lost of functions/mods.

I found that this style is based on prosilver, so you only have to install/configure the mods for this style and they'll work fine.

It doesn't matter which Style I select, the underlying layout still sucks. The old one was clean-cut and easy on the eyes to find everything.

Edit - As someone else mentioned I can barely tell the new posts. The icons are only different by blue lines (new) or black lines (old). They don't "pop".

What button? Please, explain.
Now there's not "quote" button :P

To reply a post there's a text that says "Post a reply" without image button. Is this correct?

Popups should work now:
Shock, Giant Growth, Black Lotus
And I can't see anything wrong with "Quote" and "Post Reply" buttons. It's in the same place it was before.

When you click "post a reply" you can see the "quote" button, but I'm talking about the "edit", "delete message", "quote message" that must show at right of the post title.

Here some HTML code:

Code: Select all
<div class="postbody">
                     <ul class="profile-icons">

               <li class="edit-icon"><a href="./posting.php?ntheme=style8&amp;mode=edit&amp;f=2&amp;p=15542" title="Edit post"><span>Edit post</span></a></li><li class="report-icon"><a href="./report.php?ntheme=style8&amp;f=2&amp;p=15542" title="Report this post"><span>Report this post</span></a></li><li class="quote-icon"><a href="./posting.php?ntheme=style8&amp;mode=quote&amp;f=2&amp;p=15542" title="Reply with quote"><span>Reply with quote</span></a></li>            </ul>

This code is from this page :)

What's wrong with them? Just checked in IE - they're ok.

I'm using IE (8) and FireFox and I can't see them.

I upload a snapshot to show you what buttons I'm talking about:

I like the style switcher. I don't like it's too narrow, and you should really have the new/unvisited threads show up in a different color, they all show up in black now, only the icon looks a little bit different (but it's not visible enough). I know there's "view new posts", but there should also be a color component there.
