SSL/TLS certificate for slightlymagic?

Currently our cosy little forum is served over plain-text http.
That means every time someone logs in, their username/password are at risk of being stolen. In this day and age that is becoming increasingly common.
In fact, the website was hacked some years ago.
If the forum was served over an encrypted connection (https) with an SSL or TLS certificate it would make it harder to hack. Fortunately, you can now get such a certificate for free via the Let's Encrypt project!
Is there any interest in making the jump to lightspeed... I mean HTTPS ?
