Use of cards for non-profit Android/iOS app
by DrCofirich » 04 Dec 2017, 15:57
Hi,
I'm the developer of a mobile app called 'Cards Info for MTG' which is a free app to browse cards, create decks and have a life counter for Magic the Gathering.
Right now I'm using images from Gatherer but their quality is very poor and I was looking for alternatives!
I wonder if I can use the images that you provide, if it's possible to store those images on a server and provide them to the apps. I need to store on a different server because I need a way to access them programmatically building an URL from the set code and card number, not sure if your way of hosting those images would work (also it's not fair to hit your server with those apps' requests).
The app is completely free (planning also to open source it in the near future) but before doing anything I would like to know if that is not a problem for you.
Thank you,
D

If you're using your own server I see no problems.
