Instillation and Patches

Postby Greenmanwithaxe » 29 Sep 2011, 19:25

What I'm trying to achieve now that I have the base game installed is.

Get the game fully updated.
Make 5 copies of the fully updated game.
Change the 5 copies 2000 cardpool to my choosing of cards for
Standard, Extended, Modern, Legacy/Vintage, and base update.

Can I just get the most up to date patch and that will
cover everything with a detailed notepad inside the download
link that explains everything in easy mode? Because it is not
looking that way. It is seriously looking like after the base
game that is is LOOOOOOOAAAAADDDDDDS of crap trial and error bug
this bug that and None I REPEAT NONE!!!!!! of the people working on
this took the time to create a detailed process of operations to get
the game to its full and best finished state. That is a luxury only
for the people who either know this stuff already or the people who
like to spend days/weeks on trial and error until they final get it working
in a halfass state and decide this will have to do.

Like I said a seprate folder for Standard, Extended, Modern, Legacy/Vintage
and the " Base Game " with the 2000 card pool that I want. It would be nice
if you solved the 2000 card limit because then you could just put all the
magic cards created into the game and create a nice deck editor mod and get
all the bugs out of multiplayer and this would be a solid project. Then you
would only have to worry about updating the new sets into it after that.

I may sound rude but I would definately be willing to donate a good ammount
for 5 folders of the game each with my 2000 card pool compressed into zip files
and packaged and sent to me all ready to go with no errors. Just unzip and ready
to go.

How come you guys just don't make format expansions? Is it not odvious what cards
people are playing in any given format? You can release updates if you miss certain
cards that are now good or if there is a new banlist. It seems simple to me.
If you are willing to do it I'll send you a 2000 card list of must have cards
for standard for modern for legacy/vintage for extended. It seriously isnt that hard
people are already making there own 2000 pools right.

Why doesnt someone make a 2000 pool for these formats I mean WTF!!!!!
What the FUCK!

There is all these links to patches and tools like some seprate
deck editor, set editor but nothing that puts the " BIG PICTURE "
together.

Hey greenmanwithaxe why don't you just shut up huh. Why don't you try coding
some of these cards you ungrateful @$%!&. I am not going to acknowledge any of
your ideas! Instead I'm going to make comments about your grammar and say you
are alittle kid and blablabla because I'm a 50 year old bald guy that was playing
when alpha came out and I'm so smart......

If you don't agree with my above post and this is how you feel then you aren't a
true magic player. The community (if there even is one) Is screaming out for something
like this. Seriously it doesn't take a genius to see. If you guys weren't so old, bald,
and proud of.... whatever it is that you are proud of.... you would see that.

Any suggestions, new ideas to improve the game are appreciated no matter who makes them and taken into consideration if you see just 3posts above developers ask and take into consideration what people think about what the future of Manalink2 should be.
On the other hand Abusive language and Rudeness are not appreciated at all!
Please,don't curse.

There is this installation Guide viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3991#p53385 made espesially by Salbei to make installation easier to new users and answers a lot of possible questions and problems but you have to keep it update with latest patch and artwork.

Besides,if you didn't check already the viewforum.php?f=21 is full of other MTG projects that may fill your needs better.

i agree with aswan Jaguar abusive language and rudeness arent appreciated. for someone who has what 2 posts should think about how they say things before saying them. Now your ideas do sound great but what you might not realize is the game is essentially a patch on a patch on a patch. now the coders have cleaned up alot of problems with the game and whatnot but a few big ones remain being the 2000 limit. Alot of it has to do with CSV work which is tedious and boring. If you want to do something to help the cause if you know assembly language then help the 2k problem. then we wouldn't need 5 different folders for 5 different card databases. just one big one. It has taken a lot of peoples time to get this far in the game. are there problems? yes will there always be some bugs? probably but to get where we are today a lot of people including I have helped a lot and dont quite care for your rudeness. so please keep your rudeness to a minimum and appreciate the game as it is right now. Help out with development if you can and enjoy the game. nuff said.
can I maze of ith your snowstorm?

http://home.comcast.net/~gmzombie/index.html old stuff in here. don't use this stuff right now till I get time to get back into it and readjust.
