AI worst moments
by Aswan jaguar » 20 Aug 2011, 08:07
Yesterday it was the first or second time in years playing this game seeing AI not make the correct decision and make the final killer attack.AI didn't attack for the win and finally AI lost that game.

The real problem is that we don't really know how the the AI is processing his decision. It surely uses the data stored in the Reserved Infos and probably some CSV values to know what a card could do, but besides this, we know almost nothing.
And I'm pretty sure that in Aswan Jaguar case, they AI got messed by the Rules Engine (you're doing a challenge, right ?). I really don't know how this is happening, but I'm convinced that is linked to the other bug in which the AI doesn't play nothing untill a card in his side is discarded \ destroyed.

Yes it is a challenge but I have played numerous challenge games and AI never messed up like that in the final strike. Some times doesn't calculate correctly a creature with lifelink but AI attacks always for the alleged win but 2 times in last 2 days this happened.I have played with this deck against the AI deck too many times and this was a bad surprise to me.
I just wanted to share this experience with the community not report an "AI bug" besides it is with a past manalink update.

Heh I've seen a few. I noticed that he doesn't really understand the point of Momentary Blink. So if he ends up playing one of my decks (I use blink a lot), he sometimes just uses it on one of his creatures for no reason
But generally I don't keep track of his stupid decisions because mostly I think the AI is quite good.

With all the recent corrections to the CSV file, I bet the AI is slighly improved (I tested it myself working on NewLimited).
