I was asking my brother about this, who is a professional programmer and plays manalink, too, and he said that he had all the skills to do the job, but that it would take a ridiculous amount of time to go through and find all the references to the array, so he doesn't want to do it :p
It's strange..
manalink is developped in C, I suppose.
It must be possible to use tools for "schearch and replace" and find theses references.
But without seeing code, hard to say, and I'm not a C developper, I work on others langages..
I'm curious to see code of manalink...

Manalink WAS developed in C, but we don't have the access to the source code. That's the tough part. Any edits to be done have to be done in ASM.

I vouch for that too. I really liked the previous one and found some really helpful development info grouped together, which otherwise one would have to scan many forum topics. I would also propose that such topics are linked or mentioned in the history section of the wiki.
Oh, maybe add a development history section also.

Can anyone remind me what happened in 2010? I think the summary would be
-The 2000 limit was reached. jatill tried to make some workarounds, but they were too clunky to be widely used
-Tournaments were started
-jatill was busy programming other games
-Gargaroz stepped in and coded hundreds of new cards

You sound a bit pragmatic but it is what it is and we can't have always the happy and loud announcements we would like. Anyway there are people like you that work and try to advance the game, some also work on improving the AI from discussions I read through some threads and people start to understand how it works and how it can be improved.
Truth is we hit a brick wall with the 2000 limit but I think the true brick wall is ASM.
The developed cards which exceed 2000 will hopefully and eventually be utilized.
More bugs have also been resolved.
Also nearly forgot the latest card coding tutorial that was made (by you and snacko, I think) which is quite understandable and the manalink.csv wiki that Ciroth Urgol has created, which gathers more info on card development.
Finally, there are also some people like me (gmzombie (who isn't actually a developer) & ghost) who tried to tackle the 2000 limit. OK, we haven't much success yet, but it's a difficult thing to do.
I believe that these show that the greater developer community is gaining a better and deeper understanding of the inner workings of the game, we probably need some more coordination, insistence and persistence.

BTW can you pm me about what jatill did with the 2000 limit, even if it is clunky. The past months I 've been attending the google university of reverse code engineering about this and I really want to see this to the end.

My workaround were just the My2000 visual basic programs that let you pick which 2000 cards you want in your version.
