Might be something related to the pic download preview from the net (maybe something like Microsoft Framework or visual basic essential files missing?).
Did you install it with admin right?

I think nothing is missing

And yeah, I've installed with "Run as administrator" mode

I got the editor working and added cards, after that I run the patcher and now when I start magic it doesn't load any of my decks, when I try running magiccustom.exe it says that drawcardcus.dll is missing. Where do I get it and how to fix this problem.

I've been spending days trying to get this to work with my large deck library I've compiled from various sources and when I use deckeditor to build a custom version, one of two things happen when I actually run the MagicCustom executable:

1) Only some of my decks appear in the Gauntlet/Duel dropdowns, but the game works.
2) All my decks appear in the dropdowns, but the game crashes when I try to start a duel.

These happen under Windows XP and Windows 7.

I've tried running the game with and without running Patch program beforehand. I've tried processing the decks in the my2000 editor in chunks instead of one giant list and I've even tried using the full refresh option for my2000 with no luck. When I build my custom version it doesn't say all my slots are in use - maybe 1700 are used up out of 2000.

I'm sure something I'm doing specifically is causing the change between the crashing or the showing of some decks only, but either way I'm unable to successfully build a custom version containing all of my deck library.

Here is your missing DrawCardCus.dll :

http://rapidshare.com/files/410954612/D ... s.dll.html

I think some people are missing because it's in the old my2k installer or something like that and didn't get included in the new one...

Thanks, right now I'm doing a new install and will see if it will work, if not I believe that the dll will fix that.

Now I'm missing CardArtCus.dll so I'd be thankful if you have that as well.

Looks like the 1-time download was missing 3 files. I updated the link, hopefully that should be everything.

I did everything like in the instructions and I keep getting the same problem.

After I run deckeditor.exe and add cards to custom library, refresh the art and run the patch I can't play custom version. The switcher doesn't work and magiccustom.exe does nothing. While I didn't have all dll's magiccustom.exe gave me an error and now it does nothing. Furthermore after I install everything and patch it I can't run deckeditor.exe since it gives me "Run time error '5'; Invalid procedure call or argument".

I don't know what to do anymore. I even reverted to an earlier install of magic I had, added the new update and followed instructions and the same thing keeps hapening. For two days I've been trying to play custom but I'm running out of ideas and I just don't know will I be able to compete in the august tournament since I can't make a set deck and won't have the ability to play other decks with their cards.

Does anybody know how to fix this because I don't have a clue:(

P.S. I'm running windows 7 ultimate but I didn't have any problems with magic so far.

Well if you can, dump your game folder directory content into a text file so I can compare with mine, if there are some noticeable differences then I will try to send you what's missing...

I'll do it but I don't understand what you want, should I write all the files I have in the game folder in a text file? If that's what you need I'll start right away.

P.S. I started to dump everything in a text file and after halfway being done I just took a screen shot of my folder.

I have same problems as Cognis except that my custom.exe doesn't start at all (no warning or anything). Switcher ain't working either. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.

magiccustom.exe gave me warnings while I was missing some dll's from the 1-time installer but now it doesn't do anything.

Well, make a dupe of you magic folder and try to extract this zip into it to check if my version work with your computer, it's working under xp sp2 though.

I used my installation on xp and it still didn't work.

I downloaded your files and magiccustom is working now. Thank you very much.
