New Deck Editor (also a replacement for My2000)

@Cognis: Yeah I read through this thread before I started my second or third round of attempts. I started with MOK's base and patched up through M11, then I used Stassy's Magic directory from page 3. The Deck editor appeared to work normally. When I tired to run "MagicCustom.exe" the blue mana link box appeared, but MagicCustom.exe never ran. That was an improvement from getting no Mana Link when launching MagicCustom.exe, but not what I was looking for exactly.

I can play my old play decks in constructed okay because nothing got switched out between updates, but i cant use the new cards obviously.

I'll upload my version that seems to be stable now and can be updated normally, it'll take some time but I hope it will make it easier for people to play.

I have gotten it to work partially. I basically just used the files from Stassy's Magic directory on page 3, then restarted, then I used the one time dl for the deck editor, then restarted, then I started importing decks and updated the custom mode/art, then restarted, and then I launched MagicCustom.exe. It launched and I could play custom mode, but the cards were a little screwed up still. For instance the R/G come into play tapped dual land form M11 showed up as the R/G refuge from Zendikar, but it played as the R/G dual from M11...so i guess it is a wash. I am going to spam update a few more times, and see if it clears up. It is very close now!

i did everything as it says in the Wiki multiple times, but i always have the same problem: when i try to start magiccustom.exe, nothing happens. also, when i check the cardArtCus folder, there is only one pic there. any thoughts?

Before you start anything make a copy of your magic folder. I would suggest you try downloading Stassy's files in this topic or just download the version I uploaded. It should work but there is always a chance that a new update could mess it up, gl with the editor, you're not the only one having problems with it, although it's pretty sweet if you get it working:)

stassy's files are no longer available. will download yours, but it will take a bit.

but just to be clear on something.....i don't have any decks, so the deck editor is not that important to me. however, i have noticed that different cards are available in the 2 .exe's. so the deck editor is really the only option if you wanna make decks with cards from the 2 .exe's, right?

Magic.exe is constructed which has around 2000 cards put there by Jatill, that one works with no problems.

MagicLimited.exe has the most recent cards (M11 now)and should work without many problems.

MagicCustom.exe needs the editor so you can edit you decks any way you want, but getting it work is no small feat of luck or skill.

I don't think the latest update is in it the 08112010 update from M11 folder, but you don't really need it unless you plan to use cards that were bugged like Ajani's Pridemate.

EDIT: btw,cognis, i don't know if it's a known issue, but when i tried to equip a Loxodon Warhammer on an Assembly Worker, the game crashed.
