The fireball thing I've seen happen when you have lands that produce a variable amount of mana, like Serra's Sanctum. I've never used City of Shadows (I don't like that card) but I'd bet that card is confusing it somehow as well. It'll never let you fireball for more mana than you have, but yeah initially it will come up with some ridiculous number that it thinks you can tap, like 70 or 80.

From last week testing Cream of the Crop- it stifles enters-the-battlefield effects. For example if I play Kor Skyfisher with Cream of the Crop out, the Cream of the Crop ability resolves but I don't have to bounce anything. Same problem with Eternal Witness and Imperial Recruiter. My guess is that this is a stack-related problem, similar to how you can't brainstorm up a counterspell in response...could be wrong though.

I know about the Mind Stone bug, but if you can show me a Lodestone savegame, I'll believe you thenaww1979 wrote:In the Group C tournament matches, I found Mind Stone and Lodestone Golem to not be working some of the time. Mind Stone I sacced in three different games; twice I didn't get a card and once I did. AI was ignoring Lodestone Golem's mana penalty about half the time.

I'll make a savegame if it occurs then. I can show you a video from the tournament to prove it happened, but I don't have a savegame for it to analyze.
A few bugs to report
by daltman » 11 Jul 2010, 14:41
Don't know if these have been reported yet, but found these while playing:
1. Grim Monolith untaps more often than not when opponent attacks me.
2. I disenchanted the opponent's SERRA'S EMBRACE, and yet the opponent's two VOICE OF ALL'S (with protection against white) still had vigilance.
3. The "Shadow Legacy" wasn't an option even when I had 3-4 NETHER SHADOWs in my graveyard. This happened (or didn't happen) when using BURIED ALIVE.
4. In the same vein as #3, I was using KHABAL GHOUL and it got +1/+1 counters even though the creatures went directly from the library to the graveyard using BURIED ALIVE. This should of course only work when it goes to the graveyard from play only.
5. The AI still attacks when I enchant their creature with Spirit Link. In most cases, this makes no sense.
On a sidenote... Elvish Warrior should be in the game
.

Are you using an older version? Elvish Warrior is in the game, and I think Jatill fixed Nether Shadow.

Hmm, looked all over for Elvish Warrior. I have the 6-11-10 update (Cardartnew), and installed it for the first time only a week ago from the first thread of the forum.
Oh and I remembered one more:
6. Copying a copied SCULPTING STEEL crashed the game for me. According to the rules: "If the chosen artifact is copying something else (for example, if the chosen artifact is another Sculpting Steel), then your Sculpting Steel enters the battlefield as whatever the chosen artifact copied." --- this should make another copy of the artifact it copied. In this case, I copied a COLLOSSUS OF SARDIA originally.

Some of the cards don't behave quite the way they are supposed to; sometimes this is a known issue that couldn't be worked around in code, and sometimes it's a bug. Sculpting Steel (and Copy Artifact) should be able to copy a copy, as they do in real life, but when I've tried it, it just asks me to pick another target; I haven't had it crash in that situation.
When you installed the game, did you install the download in this thread? viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2785 If I had to guess, I'd say you installed all the ARTWORK for the new cards, but that you do not have all the newest card code; probably you downloaded the edition Mok produced. The link above will add to that.

Two cards that broke on me since the last 1-2 upgrades.
Chrome Mox: Once imprinted, this artifact does not tap for mana, or indicate that a color was imprinted.
Dryad Arbor: Not being recognized as a green creature; game displays 'wrong color' when using the Arbor to pay the additional cost of Natural Order.
My apologies if these bugs have already been mentioned; I checked a few pages back before posting.
thanks!

I just tested those 2 and they work as intended, do you have the latest updates?EricGrey wrote:Two cards that broke on me since the last 1-2 upgrades.

Heh, nice. I had a tournament screenshot I posted somewhere on the forum where the AI used Control Magic on a 2/2 Figure of Destiny instead of my 20/20 Avatar token from Ajani Goldmane. Sometimes the AI is just... DUMB.

When you attack the AI while it has a planeswalker all the damage goes to the planeswalker, regardles of who you designated to attack.

I noticed this today- If you split your attackers and the planeswalker damage is blocked, then the damage deals correctly, but if it gets through, all the damage goes to the 'walker.Cognis wrote:When you attack the AI while it has a planeswalker all the damage goes to the planeswalker, regardles of who you designated to attack.

Heh, that's funny; I had that happen a few days before the tournament while testing, but I couldn't reproduce the problem when jatill wanted proof :p I hope someone gets a savegame and vindicates me...
