White Cards
- Academy Rector: Should hit the graveyard before being RFG. Can crash the game if it dies on AI side.
- Avatar of Hope: Can only assign damage to the creature it is blocking, not the creatures it's 'Multi-block' effect is blocking.
- Balance (and Balancing Act): Leaves play abilities trigger in the middle of Balance resolving.
NOT FIXED as of 08/08/10- Serra Avatar: When put into play with Eureka, is instead shuffled back into library. Similar effects (Sneak Attack, Show and Tell, Elvish Piper) all worked correctly.
Blue Cards
- Clone: When copying a creature with a comes-into-play ability, will cause that ability to trigger twice.
NOT FIXED as of 08/08/10- Coastal Piracy: Will not trigger for creatures with first strike.
- Copy Artifact / Sculpting Steel: If it copies an artifact with a sacrifice ability (eg Jester's Cap or Ashnod's Transmogrant), the ability will not work. Also, copying a Mox or Lotus will cause it to become coloured.
- Courier's Capsule: Only shows up in the deckbuilder if both the blue and artifacts filters are on. Ditto Cumber Stone.
- Creature Bond: Does not trigger when enchanting a creature with a leaves play ability.
- Flash: Will cause the game to crash if used to play Academy Rector.
- Lifetap: Triggers when Ravnica shockforests come into play tapped.
- Mana Drain: Sometimes adds 2 mana in your next main phase instead of the proper amount.
- Propaganda / Collective Restraint: Has a bad interaction with other 'costs to attack', eg Leviathan, Jade Statue (this is how the AI uses Jade Statue).
- Scion of Oona: Does not grant shroud to Bitterblossom.
- Vesuvan Doppelganger: If it copies one of the one-mana 'apprentices' with two abilities, it cannot change to another creature in your upkeep (instead gives you the option of using one of those two abilities).
- Volcanic Eruption: Uncastable.
Black Cards
- Infernal Contract: Crashes game if cast at negative life.
- Living Death: Returns creatures one at a time, and triggered abilities resolve in the middle of LD resolving. Also, there is an issue if a creature comes into play with a 'return X from your graveyard' ability (e.g. Eternal Witness, Gravedigger and Sanctum Gargoyle).
- Megrim: Will trigger once upon discard, not for each card discarded.
NOT FIXED as of 08/08/10- Phyrexian Gremlins: Effect does not end when Phyrexian Gremilins becomes untapped.
- Zombie Master: Does not grant regeneration to most zombies (only Scathe Zombies and other copies of itself).
Red Cards
- Dragonstorm: Crashes the game after two Bogardan Hellkites are stormed into play. Bringing in Hellkite Overlord will also crash the game.
- Fire Imp (also Flametongue Kavu): Lock the game if there are no legal targets in play (i.e. Akroma's Memorial in play, no creatures controlled by opponent).
- Grim Lavamancer: Activation causes hand size to shrink each turn.
- Incinerate: Does not rfg.
- Price of Progress: Deals damage in 2-damage 'clumps', rather than all at once. eg need multiple mana to prevent with CoP: Red.
Green Cards
- Crop Rotation: AI can search for a creature and put it into play.
- Exploration: Will not allow an additional land to be played if a fetchland was played + activated before exploration came into play.
- Genesis: AI using it's ability will crash the game.
- Heartbeat of Spring: Lands that normally produce more than one mana (e.g. bouncelands, Ancient Tomb) do not produce additional mana when Heartbeat of Spring is in play.
- Pattern of Rebirth: Will not trigger if it's on a creature with a leaves play ability (e.g. Protean Hulk, Symbiotic Wurm, pre-counter Kitchen Finks). Also, AI seems to place it on your creatures. Seems to trigger on RFG effects such as Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile.
- Quirion Dryad: Does not trigger from Sanctum Gargoyle or Tidehollow Sculler.
- Rancor: Does not always return to hand.
- Saproling Burst: If a saproling token is copied (e.g. by Clone), the copy will be a 1/1 regardless of the counters on Saproling Burst.
- Spawnwrithe: Will not make a copy from trample damage if it dies in combat.
- Weird Harvest: Is countered if responded to.
Gold Cards
- Kitchen Finks: If Kitchen Finks dies, will persist into play on controller's 'battlefield' instead of owner's, and if killed again will go to controller's graveyard instead of owner's.
- Meddling Mage: Doesn't stop hybrid spells.
- Pernicious Deed: AI will not sacrifice it if it's ability is activated for less than 3.
- Progenitus: Shuffled into library when pitched to Force of Will or Chrome Mox. Demonic Consultation works however. Works with Final Judgment. Also shuffles in when discarded with Necropotence in play.
- Tidehollow Sculler: Only shows up in the deckbuilder if both the gold and artifacts filters are on.
- Wydwen, the Biting Gale: I think it's still listed as an uncommon; should be Rare.
Lands
- Artifact Lands: Can be responded to / countered (If countered, can play an additional land after) - they are treated as is they were spells. Also, they don't auto-tap for mana.
- Barbarian Ring: Damage from Barbarian Rings won't resolve (will stay as a 'damage card') until non-Ring damage is dealt. Lacks a cancel option.
- Bouncelands: AI has trouble using these, often returning themselves.
- Cabal Coffers: Can't be tapped at interrupt speed.
- Dark Depths: With The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale in play, choosing not to pay the upkeep on Marit Lage will not cause it to be sacrificed (may have something to do with indestructible?)
- Dryad Arbor: Does not enable forestwalk.
- Exotic Orchard: Will not copy artifact lands Invasion saclands'
second ability or other Exotic Orchards' colours. Also, the prompt to choose a colour refers to itself as Fellwar Stone.
- Fetchlands: Sometimes the fetched land won't come into play.
- Reflecting Pool: Will not copy artifact lands, Invasion Saclands or Exotic Orchard's colours.
- Tree of Tales: Counts as a green spell (Triggers Wooden Sphere, for instance).
- Treetop Village: Won't auto-tap for mana without prompting a choice of ability. I believe this is due to having it's non-mana ability first on the list in the selection window.
- Wasteland: See Treetop Village.
Artifacts
- Aether Vial: Will crash the game if the AI activates it without an appropriately costed creature in hand (very annoying when it randomly tries to activate it for 0...)
- Battering Ram: Cannot be targetted by effects (spells work though).
- Cursed Scroll: Doesn't seem to deal damage if you have 2 or more of the named card in hand. May just be picking the 'wrong' one.
- Darksteel Ingot: No longer indestructible if animated
- Isochron Scepter: Alternate cost cards (Fire/Ice, Daze) require their casting cost be paid when copies are made. Also, Mana Drain copies will not add mana during your next main phase. Shows incorrect picture of copied spell (seemingly a random card from your deck) when activated.
- Loxodon Warhammer: Does not trigger when attached to a creature that has another ability triggered on combat damage.
- Mana Crypt: Can't be tapped at interrupt speed.
- Memory Jar + Windfall: Has some strange interactions with counting hand size.
- Obelisk of Alara: Double-clicking does not auto-tap mana for it's abilities (except gain 5 life).
- Serum Powder: Taking a SP mull will shuffle Progenitus into library.
- Signets: Can't be tapped at interrupt speed.
- Skullclamp + Modular: Still not working properly.
- Solemn Simulacrum: Leaves play trigger shows a picture of Aven Fisher.
- Tertravus: Tetravite tokens can't be sacrificed to Tinker.
- Trinisphere: Does not interract well with cost modifiers, alternate casting costs, or X-spells.
Mechanics and Miscellaneous
- Coloured Artifacts: Show as castable from hand as long as you can pay the colourless part of their casting cost. There seems to be a similar bug when some Elves are in play, showing spells in hand as castable when you can't generate enough mana.
- Comes into play: Does not use the stack.
- Deck Editor: Frogmite, Ghostfire and Myr Enforcer cannot be filtered out.
- Deathtouch: Instead uses Thicket Basilisk 'stoning' ability.
- Dredge cards: Can dredge without the required number of cards in library.
- Equipment: Becomes unattached when a creature changes controller. Can be equipped at instant speed during your main phase.
- Exalted Creatures: AI makes decisions as if none of it's creatures has exalted.
- Flash: Flash creatures are treated like instant spells (can be searched for with Mystical Tutor, Ashcoat Bear can be Imprinted on Isochron Scepter, etc.)
- Hand Size: Sometimes maximum hand size is incorrect, often 6 or 8. Not sure which cards affect this.
- Haste: Creatures do not lose haste if they should (e.g. Graves unequipped, Fires leaves play etc).
- Hybrid Creatures: When these come into play not from hand, you are asked to pay their casting cost, although you can cancel. Do not interract well with cost modification.
- Indestructible: Sometimes fails to keep the permanent in play.
- Kraken's Eye cycle: Have a colourless mana source tag.
- Lifelink: Cumulative (not updated to M10 rules yet).
- Planeswalkers: Will lose counters if they are attacked and chump blocked (ie blocking creature dies but attacking creature doesn't). Count as enchantments.
- Shroud: Cannot choose a creature with shroud for non-targetted 'choose a creature' abilities (e.g. Arena, Clone).
- Spirit Guides: Count as discard for Megrim, etc.
- Storm: Storm copies cannot be responded to.
Card Approximations
- Ageless Sentinels: Does not have wall creature type before blocking.
- Reveillark: When it comes into play not from hand, can pay 1 to sacrifice.
- Shrieking Grotesque: Casting cost is 1BW rather than 2W. Discard ability triggers when it comes into play not from hand.
- Crypt Rats: Ability will only work in 1 damage packets, ala Pestilence and Thrashing Wumpus.
- Guardian Beast: Grants shroud instead of it's other abilities.
- Nezumi Shortfang: Name, creature types and legendary status not updated upon flipping.
- Yawgmoth's Will: Does not take cost modifications into account for spells played from graveyard. Cards are put into the graveyard before they are removed from game.
- Reiterate: Does not copy spell colour.
- Birchlore Rangers: Doesn't have morph.
- Life from the Loam: Dredge counts as drawing a card (for Underworld Dreams, etc.).
- Thorn Elemental: Has trample instead of it's IRL ability.
- Cadaverous Bloom: Cost is discarding a card, should be RFG'ing it.
- Figure of Destiny: Creature types not updated.
- Hellkite Overlord: No regeneration ability.
- Loxodon Hierarch: No regeneration ability.
- Meddling Mage: AI always names the top non-land card from your library.
- Wilt-Leaf Liege: Not put into play when forced to discard it.
- Platinum Angel: has Ali from Cairo / Worship ability.
Apparently work for some people, but not others
- Gifts Ungiven: Crashes the game if you play it during your turn.
- Squee, Goblin Nabob and Genesis: Having Squee or Genesis in the graveyard will cause large amount of life to be gained from any action (e.g. tapping lands). This bug exists if you originally downloaded the Mok 2.0 version of the game, but not if you downloaded the Underdogs rip version.
AI Issues and Non-Bugs
- Standstill: Cannot counter the spell that broke Standstill after Standstill's ability resolves. I believe this is not a bug though but rather a product of pre-6th Edition rules.
- Sarcomancy: AI will destroy it even if you control no other zombies (not a bug, but bad AI).
- Sneak Attack: AI will not use it.
- Tarmogoyf: P/T is 0/1 in graveyard (this may just be how old rules worked).
- Tolsimir Wolfblood: AI will not make a Voja token.
- Mana Vault: With two in play, AI will use one (and a land) to untap the other, then vice versa, until it has no untapped lands and takes 1 from one untapped Mana Vault (not a bug, bad AI).
EDIT: BUGS LISTED SINCE LAST UPDATE:
Cursed Scroll: Doesn't seem to deal damage if you have 2 or more of the named card in hand. May just be picking the 'wrong' one.

Thank you for taking this on. It motivates me much more to fix the bugs that I can.
Edit:
The Revillark one is not a bug, right? That's just the Evoke cost.
And agreed, the Standstill thing is not a bug.
Finally, the Meddling Mage ability is an intended feature. Got to help the AI when I can.
Can you group similar bugs in the Misc section? Ex: every storm card will have the same 'cannot be responded to' bug.
Here are a couple more confirmed bugs:
-Spirit Guides trigger Megrim
-Life from the Loam counts as a card draw for things like Underworld Dreams.
-Yawgmoth's Will: Cards hit the graveyard before getting RFG'd
-Trinisphere does not interact well with cost modifiers / alternate costs / X-spells
-All spells that let you play spells for free (ex: Isochron Scepter, Yawg's Will, Storm) do not use the stack, so cannot be countered. They also have no interaction with cost modifiers (ex: Sphere of Resistance) or alternate costs (ex: hybrid, Gush)

Kitchen Finks enchanted with Pattern of Rebirth and buried will not trigger it. However the -1/-1 creature version will work correctly.

About Sword of Fire and Ice, I can give a bit more detail.
After the equipped creature damages the enemy player, when the enemy player gets any damage, even if it is self-inflicted (i.e. City of Brass), you get to apply the 2 bonus damage from Sword of Fire and Ice to any creature/player as if the equipped creature had damaged the enemy player.
I believe Platinum Angel using the Ali from Cairo ability is intended, due to engine limitations.

isochron scepter doesn't work well with some spells; daze and fire//ice require you to pay 2 colourless plus the original cost.

Just started playing with Isochron Scepter, and when I put Mana Drain on it, I can use the Scepter, and I can counter spells, but when my main phase comes around, I don't get any mana, even though the mana drain legacy was there.
Scepter works fine with Brainstorm; those are the only two I've put on it so far.
Oh, and... Isochron Scepter is overpowered, but that's not anyone's fault here
EDIT: One very minor bug. After casting Overrun, the card stays as an effect on the board, and didn't go to my graveyard. The +3/+3 and trample effect ended as normal.

Scepter is good but its far from overpowered. Without Orim's Chant in the format it won't ever be "truly" overpowered.
A lot of cards in the game are much more powerful.

Coastal Piracy doesn't allow me to draw a card when my creature deals combat damage to the other player.
Somacat reported Artifact lands being counterable.
They are currently treated as spells, which they shouldn't be. I.e. playing Tree of Tales allows enemy Wooden Sphere to process.

Hi all,
been a little busy, but just posted a quick update. Thanks for listing more bugs, hopefully we can get this already great game as close to being perfect as possible (insert joke about MTGO v3 here...)!
@jatill: Reveillark should not be able to sacrifice itself when it comes into play from the graveyard, or through Show and Tell, etc. Evoke is an alternate casting cost from hand, maybe it (and Mulldrifter) can be changed to something similar to Fire/Ice, where you are offered two different casting costs and choose one? I have noticed Mulldriter doesn't ask you to pay 2 when it comes into play from your graveyard anymore, thanks for that change
[edit: just realised I listed Lark's ability 'from hand', should have been 'not from hand'. Fixed]
@stassy: Pattern of Rebirth on Academy Rector works if you choose not to remove the Rector from the game. I think this bug is the fault of Rector, which should go to the graveyard before being RFG'd, and has been placed on the list as such.
@Smokey: SoFI used to trigger on damage dealt to creatures as well, such as with Pyroclasm. I'm going to test it a bit more before updating it on the list, since jatill worked on SoFI in the last update.
Also, I have left cards on the list such as Shrieking Grotesque, Meddling Mage and Platinum Angel that are slightly different to their IRL counterparts due to the limitations of the Microprose game (actually, thinking about it, can Groteque use the Fire/Ice two different casting costs solution at all?). I did this not for jatill to fix, but for anyone else who browses to realise they are known differences, if not technically bugs. Hope that's ok.
Cheers guys, another update in a couple of days!

When using Eureka to put into play many fun, fun creatures, one of them, Serra Avatar, inexplicably went to the graveyard instantly. It was played somewhere in the middle of the batch, and as far as I could tell, didn't even hit the board, it just went straight to the grave and got shuffled into library. Everything else on both sides played normally.
EDIT: On a completely unrelated note, I think I learned why the AI thinks playing Pattern of Rebirth on your creatures is a good idea. When I processed AIs PoR on my creature, the legacy effect that appeared was that of Creature Bond. I suspect that the AI is casting Pattern of Rebirth as if it were Creature Bond, and that would be smart on an opponent's creatures.

Just another quick update whilst working through monopoman's thread (amazing how much time you can free up when you're supposed to be studying
).
@Smokey: I tested Coastal Piracy, and it seems to work for me - which creature were you attacking with? I know there is an issue with equipment such as Loxodon Warhammer or SoFI on a creature with a combat damage ability - the game can't seem to process two combat damage abilities on the same creature. I wonder if this is similar?
@sture: The Kitchen Finks thing is a known (and very annoying!) bug. IMHO it's the worst of the non-crash bugs in the game.
@aww1979: Avatar / Eureka bug added. Nice catch on the Creature Bond legacy for PoR! Makes sense. Creature Bond's code for triggering on the creature hitting the grave must have been used.
@drekonja: Land Grant works fine for me? Are you having trouble with the alt. cost in particular or can you just not play it at all?
By the way, I should point out I'm running the game on XP... I read Vista might produce additional bugs?
Edit: Oh, and it seems Dauthi Slayer and Tattermunge Maniac are forced to attack now
Removed from list.
