I was being attacked by a Jade Statue, which I don't think should even be possible. Unless rules have been changed, the very first part of combat is declaring attackers, and you wouldn't have priority to animate the statue after the combat step began but before declaring an attacker, right?

What's worse is that it was attacking me when I had only 1 card in hand and an Ensnaring Bridge in play. That can't possibly be legal...?

Well firsdt of, you can attack with Jade Statue, it is perfectly legal, since you can precisely animate it at the beginning of the combat phase. but the ensnaring bridge tidbit may be more problematic since jade statue becomes 3/6 before being declared as an attacker.

The challenge gauntlet keeps crashing at the last match when the AI runs out of card, so I made a save... just pass the turn and the game will crash... if anyone can patch this bug I'll be very grateful because it's the third time I can't pass the 1st challenge even if I win :(
I'm playing with the last version, the ones with 6 challenges I think (dunno if it's relevant).

Against the goblin deck in challenge mode, the AI kept attacking me with goblins even though I had Collective Restraint and 3 types of basic lands and The Tabernacle of Pendrell Vale and he had insufficient mana. It was also playing more goblins even though he couldn't afford the mana costs to do so.

I did not encounter this problem against any of the other decks in challenge mode, or any other deck at any time. Due to the combat hacks that Collective Restraint and Propaganda are using, I wonder if maybe those somehow got skipped due to some card conflict in the goblin challenge deck, like Goblin Lackey, which he cast on turn 1.

I'll try again and see what happens. This deck easily beat every deck up to that point, and would have beat Goblins, too, except for that.

EDIT: I found the problem. Goblin Lackey's ability triggers when he tries to attack but fails due to Propaganda/Collective restraint, and that was how he played free goblins. Then all goblins played with goblin lackey will later be unaffected by those enchantments for some reason. That's the pattern; why I don't know.

EDIT #2: On the last turn, all the goblins attacked me (5 of them) which should have cost 10 mana (1 propaganda) and he had 1 mana left after paying for Tabernacle. Why this should be I don't know.

In the second challenge mode, the AI played a Drafna's Restoration and my library disappeared. This had bad implications on my next draw phase :(

I had an Akroma equipped with a Skullclamp. When I equipped a second Skullclamp (actually a Sculpting Steel masquerading as a Skullclamp) on her, she was removed from the game.

I may be doing something wrong, but I can't seem to get Elvish Spirit Guide to work from hand (sac to gain G). Does anyone else have this problem?

chalice of the void isn't working for me. it doesn't come into play with any counters, and even with debug mode I can't get any counters on it. do you guys experience this too?

EDIT: I realized another weird thing... I played a keldon warlord. the AI used a mana short (even though I tapped out). I thought this was pretty dumb, but for some reason it "countered" my warlord. he stayed on the stack and didnt resolve. the rest of the turn went on as usual. what the hell? <.<

Windfall and Memory Jar have a weird reaction together. Windfall counts "set aside" cards on the opponent's hand as also being in their hand, even though their actual hand does not contain those cards. The player, however, does not have this issue.

I realized this in a game when I lost for drawing 19+ cards after two prior Jar triggers that turn. But then I was able to confirm this by repeating it using debug mode.

Interesting catch, huh?

Click on the "Rules Engine". It will come up with a menu that says "cancel" "activate elvish spirit guide" and then pick what you want. This is also how you cycle cards.

When AI has Okk in play, he can attack with his creatures and not pay for Propaganda/Collective Restraint. Everything attacks except the Okk, since AI has just 1/1s.

That one is a known issue; it happens if the very first card is the land you picked (upper left corner), is what Jatill said, somewhere on this forum. I think I've seen it happen other times, too, but I can't be sure it's not just me clicking incorrectly and closing the window.

Got attacked by 3 merfolk, threatening win. I had worship in play and activated treetop village in response so that I would have a creature. (I had no others) Instead of being at 1 life after damage was dealt, I was at -7.

I'd guess it's an issue of Worship not detecting animated lands, but I haven't tried with Mishra's Factory.

Don't know if these have popped up before (I searched this topic). Spiketail Hatchling has gibberish for text, and Serpent Warrior (played by my opponent in Sealed) somehow costs ME 3 life instead of the caster. Ouch! So much for a drawback, eh?
