Problems in Making a New Deck / Using Editors

Cheers,
Stupidly enough, I only just noticed the existance of the EDH format, and then decided to try it out. Then I decided to make some EDH decks myself.
In order to start, I tried copying the Commander 2015 official line-up, starting from the Black-White deck.
First, I tried with the standard Deck Editor.
It didn't go well.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I just can't seem to find some cards when searching. I know I must "just type" and then the list goes to the relative cards, but some of them altoghether just won't show up. (Is the infamous "2000 card limit" problem involved? I don't know.)
So I tried with the "Deck Editor 2.0".
It didn't go well.
Whatever I try, it just won't start. Runtime error. Everytime. I followed the advice on the wiki: "leave it be".
So I tried with DeckCard Analyzer 0.5
It went somewhat better...? I don't know.
For "cards.dat" I chose the one inside the Manalink folder (of course I have the last Return to Zendikar), then Import PlayDeck, then NetDeck. There I copypasted the cards list, made it good, Converted and Saved the deck inside the Manalink's "PlayDeck" folder (altough the PlayDeck folder chosen for Analyzer is its own) and closed (did not use any Rebuild function).
Back again to Manalink, I tried looking for the newly made deck in the deck list for a Duel, but it didn't show up.
I then tried looking for it with the Deck Editor and there it was. Opened it, everything shows up just fine (even the cards I couldn't find before - interest fact: they have no artwork showing up, but the card text is fine), then I added the EDH Card and adjusted the deck in order to have 105 cards, 5 of which are copies of the Commander. Saved from the Deck Editor as a new deck.
Well, again it doesn't show up in Duel mode.
So here I am looking for advice: what am I doing wrong in order to create this new deck?
Bonus Question: is there a better way to make decks? Because I can't seem to be able to find one.
