Collectible Card Game Headquarters

Well, first of all i want to thank you guys for turning a good game into an amazing game that is just steps from becoming perfect. Great Work!

Now... i need some help. I have searched the forums and read every guide i could find but i can't seem to make this work...

I downloaded "Microprose_MTG_Mok_s_Manalink_2.0_Version" part 1 and 2.

Once i extract this... the game looks and plays fine... now... here's my problem... when i want to update it... it gets messed up...

If i follow the guide, it says to download the latest patch, which is according to the guide "20091104". I did, and i extracted it. I also downloaded "nocard_art" and "cardartnew" to get the new images... and also "cardartlim" that goes in another file. Just like the guide says...

The thing is that once i extract the 20091104 patch. Most of the cards, like "Ancient Silverback" and "Ancient Spider" (to name a few) change their art for another card. In other words, the card for Ancient Silverback shows a "green skinned guy dressed in blue" instead of the freaking ape

What's going on? Have i done something wrong? I mean, the game is not unplayable but it's definitly not enjoyable if the art does not match the card

If anyone can help me i would REALLY appreciated it! I have been looking for this game with this updates for ages, like most of you have, and i am really frustrated cause i have tried and i can't succeed to make it work

You need the Christmas update which is the 20091224 update, and not the 20091104 patch. Here is the link:

Unpack and place in your main Magic folder, over writing the older files.

You should be good to go afterwards!

just 2 minor flaws i could notice...

1- all cards are showing the classic art, instead of the modern art in the deck builder.

2- lavalanch has no art, but i guess i can look for it somewhere...

Now to make all cards have the NEW modern art, should i make it manually? Or there's an easier way??

The artwork that is contained in both the CardArtNew & CardArtLim folders is all you should need and contains a mixture of both old & new art depending on what was changed or left as is.

Go ahead & enjoy playing, you've got all you need now!
