I get the same error.
Also, Jatill, I have some important questions that maybe may turn into important advices.

First of all, a note: I've seen that there are 2 Dissipate cards on the right column of the editor, the ones with the ID. Quite strange, isn't it?

But, about questions... I know that there are some slots in the CSV that must not be changed because, even if they look empty, instead they are related to in-game effects. Have you added a lock to them? Else you should warn players of NOT replacing those slots.
Second question: is it possible to have the left column to show only the cards that are NOT included into the right one? This will help a lot and would also prevent the creation of cloned cards. What do you think about? :)

For people with the files out of date problem-
Are you running the installer and THEN downloading the exe? Because that's the intended order.

Orion-
Have you tried to create a cloned card? The program already forbids you. Anyway, I'll be uploading a new version later today that I'm hoping address some of these issues.

Yes, to start off they are identical.

No, I didn't because I get runtime error 75 too.
Anyway, the problem is that, with 2000+ cards, it is easy to make some mistakes and NOT seen which ones are already "in".
Anyway, maybe you can add a variabile which will automatically hide cards on the left column if they share the same card full name with the ones on the right column. Even if I'm not skilled at coding, I think it could be done. It would be a great help that would haste library personalization! Can't wait to play Derelor & Thrulls :D

Installing Servicepack3 and the latest VBruntime fixed the setup issue for me.

Can you provide links? I can add them to the wiki.

Ok, links on the wiki were updated. The exe and installer are new. I also added the 'only show missing cards' feature that a couple requested. Hopefully between the new installer and Salbei's suggestions above, things will work better for people.

I did a fresh install with all the newest files, including a fresh install of the set editor main files and same result; Run time error 5! :x

I see the changes to the editor that shows only the 300+ cards that can be swapped in. This is a great change and makes it allot easier to find the cards that can be selected for exchange.

However, for me, every time I copy one card & try to paste it over an other, I get this Run time error 5 crash! Very frustrating because this would be really cool if I could get it to fu#*ing work!

Try salbei's suggestions and see if you get anywhere. Or maybe you can see if google turns up any answers.

Well, I have servicepak 3 already installed, but I'll look into the VBruntime files when I can.

I still can't have it running propely. I've followed stepp to stepp the insturctions on the wiki, but whenever I try to copy a card, I always get the following error:

CustomSetEditor
run-time error '5':
Not valid routine call or argument
(translating from italian).

I get this error when I try to copy a card from left to right column AND when I try to simply BROWSE in the right column. So I think that I have a problem with the latest file(s) concerning actual library.

Am I missing anything? Can it be 'cause I've missed some intermediate update?

Ok, for the people getting runtime errors, try this version:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/ejt4nyyto ... Editor.exe

I didn't add any fixes, but I added some debugging lines so hopefully you'll get a message before the crash. If you do, post the message here.

Jatill, I think I've found the cause of my problem. For some weird reason, the program is unable to see the CarArtCus folder where it is going to paste the new images. I've set it as C:\Magic\Program\cardartCus but no way: in fact, if I disable the "get image from internet" option and I try to browse among custom cards, the program crashes immediately with the error that I've reported before.

Can you do anything to fix it?

I still get the runtime error with this version. I wish I had kept friday's version stashed somewhere.

edit : by the way, if one of you guys still has friday's version of the set editor I would be happy to have it as a rescue version. thanks :)
