My2000 - The custom set editor: version 1.0

My 2000 - What is it and why do I need it?

Manalink has a 2000 card limit (i.e. only 2000 cards can be in the game at one time). However, more than 2000 cards have been coded for this game. The 'My 2000' application allows you to choose which 2000 cards you want to use in your version.

To get this working, you'll first need the latest patch. As of 1/9, that is http://www.mediafire.com/file/2kmetce2yue/20100109.zip

This patch only has 1 new card (Viscara Dragger) and a handful of bug fixes, but it is needed to run the set editor.

For the rest of installation and use, I direct your attention to the wiki:
http://www.slightlymagic.net/wiki/My_20 ... stallation

Enjoy using this tool, and feel free to post questions here. I imaging that this will confuse some people at first. And thanks again to Mathusalem for providing the graphics for this tool. And thanks to the internet, since I asked it probably over 100 programming questions while building this, and it never let me down :)

Make sure to read the development section I added to the wiki for this tool. Go ahead and start adding cards again; I'm done editing those file. Thanks.

I select Brass Herald to copy and Red Ward to be replaced. When I select paste, I get a "Run-Time error '5' Invalid procedure call or argument" pop up window & the editor then crashes.

Bummer. I tried the identical thing and it worked fine, so I don't know how I'd go about debugging this. Maybe a screenshot would help, but probably not. Have you ever copied a card successfully?

Couldn´t get the setup to work.(setup.exe)
Downloaded everything mentioned in the WIKI and placed it into my magic folder.

It says i need to download files cause they are not updated and i had to reboot for it to install.
Nothing happened after the reboot.
Used the setup again - same message.

winxp sp2

Is it cause the folder is not = c:\magic ?

When i try to use "my2000.exe" it says i´m missing files (mscomctl.ocx)

doesn´t matter anyway . i´m happy with the current constructed version as it is.

I already fixed the code for Nether Shadow (new code), Ashen Ghoul and Krovikan Horror, so they can be freely transferred from a version to another. Thanx for you "get_id from_name", a really neat feature !

No, I get the same error report.

An aside; is there a way to get a list of the cards like Brass Herald that are in the 2354 card library that are not in the custom library so we can quickly find the cards we want to swap in.

Here's a screenshot if it helps:

What CardArt Folder do I put the Viscera Dragger Pic...

Also do I CLick the Attachment to bring me to the picture or can I just right click "Save AS" 0079.jpg and if I click the picture and right click it and Save As I get this 0759.JPG

Which one is the right one? Also Where do you save token Pictures to? Which Card Folder?

I have the following...

CardArt
CardArtLim
CardArtNew

Jatill, it sounds great. I only have one question: what does it happen when new patches are released and new cards are added and/or replaced? Does new update affect the cards selection made by players or does this new software create new indipendent files? Thanks.

Still can´t get it to work. Says my System files are too old.
downloaded everything from the WIKI and placed it into my magic folder (should be visible on the screenshot).

->Screenshot<-

Do i have to download visual basic for it to work ?
It says it will update - but nothing happens (firewall doesn´t block any connections)

I had downloaded again but I had forgotten it was an install. it worked better when I installed.

But as I said I don't heve the lattest version with the card frameresized, where do I find that one ?

edit : another question. basically the "custom csv" is made after the constructed version am I right ?
(asking 'cause I want to customize my french version)
