New Deck Editor (also a replacement for My2000)

I have a completely new version of My2000 that is deck driven instead of card driven. Using this, you can easily build decks that include any of the 2400+ cards coded for Manalink. This new My2000 includes a brand new deck editor that can be used for your Custom or Constructed versions.

Some people have a very hard time getting this tool working. If things do not work out easily for you, you may want to consider abandoning this tool.

First download the latest patch

and then follow these instructions:

Warning: the 1-time download will clobber your current version of My2000, so save that if you have it.

ok+ Card Name test : winds, winds of, "winds of", wind -of.
not ok+ Card Text test : "protection from red" does not find Silver Knight, protection from red does but also gives Great Sable Stag
ok+ Card type check boxes : Can combine several types in the same list (note seperating Artifact and Artifact creatures could be nice, and preventing Creature from showing Enchant Creature aswell)
not ok+ Card Subtype : can't get it to work nullifies all my searches.
ok+ CMC between : managed to get cards like kobolds with 0, and darksteel colossus with 11.
not ok+ Filter Card Colors : Lets say I want all white angels, the angles with one W are shown but not WW if I check the white box.
ok+ : Enforce 4-card limit prevent me from putting 5 times the same non basic land card.
ok+ : Saved decks for Constructed and Custom.
ok~ : Launch/Custom : Am getting warning for illegal cards from decks in my custDeck\All folder, because they have I believe spaces in the file instead of tabs...
ok+ : Added a few decks in Custom, it swapped out cards not needed, could play the decks in Manalink custom.
ok+ : Changed by hand a card number from a deck, loaded it in custom, right number was applied.

- 1st setup, got spammed by illegal card notice in my decks in /all folder (even aww tournaments decks, like kakodrilo_juzam one got an illegal Juzam Djinn notice lol )

- clicked Include/Exclude decks > yay illegal card again, and I have 1K decks in the /all folder...ESC key ftw

- When editing decks in Playdeck with Constructed mode, it will replace the id with -1 if the card have been replaced by another, and disabling the deck in the official Constructed mode. It will run fine in Custom but not in Constructed (eg. Ape Lord deck will be disabled if you force the card Crag Wurm into Constructed mode because in last update it has been replaced by Novablast Wurm).

It's a nice "feature" though because now I can mass check all my deck and replace them with something up to date

- Filtering in Constructed : Creature + CMC between 1 and 1 + Black give Paralyze, Death's Shadow, Unholy Strenght and Weakness along other creatures results

- Filtering in Constructed : Creature + CMC between 1 and 1 + Red give Immolation along other creatures results

I had code in there to prevent Enchant Creatures coming up for creature, but last time I looked at it I had no idea what it did so I removed it. Slick, huh?

Anyway, I should be able to address all the bugs mentioned so far on Tuesday. Thanks for testing.

Can you guys upload your entire deck folders so that I can try to convert them and see what problems I will run into? I'll definitely have to add some documentation for how to fix invalid decks (either correct the names in the deck file, or open them in the original deck editor and re-save them).

Which deck folder? Because currently DeckEditor.exe loading deck option pick up in the Playdeck folder by default with Constructed radio button is selected while the Custom radio button pick up in the custdeck/all folder and MagicC.exe use the custdeck folder (if the custdeck folder is empty but the custdeck/all is not then MagicC.exe deck list will be empty, need to dupe the list in custdeck and custdeck/all folders... )

Anyway I uploaded them all, good luck with mine it's nearly all obsolete/updated/duped deck posted so far in this forum

Also when I launch DeckEditor I get randomly spammed by illegal card notice...

Did old files use spaces instead of tabs ?

I don't think know; I had one deck in my collection that had spaces, so I coded it to handle both cases I thought). If cards have invalid names, though (because some card names changed), there's nothing I can do.

Ok, all bugs listed have been fixed. Link updated.

I removed about 90% of the illegal card errors from stassy's list, and the remaining 10% are real errors.

Thanks for the fix, I would like also to know where is stocked the original card image loaded from the internet, it would be nice to compare the original to the current card art without connection to the internet (or just download once), it's much easier to check art like that.

I download it to a file, but immediately delete it.

So I'm getting this strange behaviour, I tried reinstalling but it's still acting :

First launch : In Custom > Include/Exclude decks
I've selected all my decks and included them.
It said that 1027 slots where used, then I launched Update My2000.
It said 105 cards needed to be added (A cancel button could be handy here)...

Then it started replacing Black Ward by card A.
Then it replaced card A by card B, then B by C...

Any idea if this is a bug or something wrong in my setup ?
