Well, then can you do me a favor a run a Limited mirror match with this deck? I have a bug that prevent me from playing the new M11 cards in this deck (only 32 cards show ingame)

I spoke up too soon, when I finish updating I can run only magiccustom (deckeditor has a runtime error, so I have to overwrite everything and start again). Magic custom has only the card art updated but not the cards themselves so I'll give it one last try and refresh everything and just give up if it doesn't work. I guess I learned the difference between working and working correctly

Well can you confirm that removing Ajani's Pridemate from the deck will fix it?

Also for DeckEditor, keep mashing the refresh art and update editor buttons, somewhat I was able to make it work :p

I have a weird problem. After I run the installer once and update my cards it works fine (finally) but after I do a second update all the matches I start (in cuistom, limited and constructed) have missing text, well no text and the art is screwed up. I installed the M11 patch again but it didn't change anything. The cards work fine it's just that you can't tell which card you have almost all the time.

OMFG, I can't believe it was that simple, I guess it proves that if something is wrong with your computer 95% of the time rebooting will solve the problem. It works great now, thanks everybody who helped setting it up. I'll go make my set deck for the tournament now.

I made an EDH deck with Tolsimir Wolfblade and I can't have multicolored cards in the deck like Kitchen Finks or Qasali Pridemage which is odd since other EDH decks have multicolored cards. I don't know if that's the problem with the editor. Did anyone else try to make a multicolored EDH deck in custom mode.

I made a three colour deck for the EDH tournament, and one of the cards was Esper Charm, but I was never actually able to figure out how to play with the deck, as when I run the custom program it says I have no decks. The *.dck file was created fine, though.

Double Post

I need some assistance getting the Custom version running. The last good version I had running was the june update. I updated with the july update, then the m11 update, and then I followed the directions on the "Deck Editor" wiki. Everything worked as expected, until I tried to run MagicCustom.exe. Basically I got no response at all when I launched it. Ditto if I went into "Magic.exe" and tried to use the switcher.

I tried starting back at a fresh Mana Link install and updating, I tried using none of my custom decks. The most successful change i made was to use the Magic directory Stassy posted on page three of this thread. With that as my directory if I launch MagicCustom.exe the Mana Link (small blue square) portion loads, but that is all.

I am running XP SP2. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

UPDATE:
So tonight I decided I would start over from scratch. I just started on the Installation and followed those instructions. Then I did the same with the Deck Editor Wiki. I am waiting for it to update now but I do not have high hopes. I made a quick Titan list to check it out. Right now when I click "Update my 2000" it will say it is replacing the card it just replaced with the new card. FOr example: "Replacing Mountain with Lightning Bolt....Replacing Lightning Bolt with rampant growth....Replacing rampant growth with lavaball trap" etc. So I am not really expecting much when I try and run MagicCustom.exe

yeah I have the same problem. Custom Magic does not start, switcher has no visible effect and the "replacing with" messages make no sense.

I can edit my existing decks using older cards in the constructed version however.

Try downloading Stassy's files from page 3. I got magic custom working after that. I updated with M11 then overwritten my files with his and then run deck editor. It took me a few tries with updating everything but it seems that you have to reboot after every change, update my2000, then refresh the art, then patch, reboot and play. It still has some bugs but it works.

I was able to put multicolored cards into the EDH deck, it's just that there are still some problems like Oversoul of Dusk in the deck not making it possible to play EDH, and then with some other cards out giving errors. Firstly there was no problem with Steward of Valeron, then I couldn't put him into deck and play. It's weird but possible to play multicolored cards in custom. Just import all the cards you need and edit the deck in game and see what cards crash EDH and which won't.
