What do your usernames mean?
by jatill » 14 Sep 2010, 14:07
So what do your usernames mean, and how are they pronounced? Some are clear (nicdanger), some less so (thedrigo).
Mine is just my name. J (eff) A. Till. So my username would be pronounced with the letters J, A, and then Till. But if you're foreign you can pronounce it yah-till and I won't mind

...in the land of Mordor lies the tower of Cirith Ungol.
From J.R.R. Tolkien's novels, but more directly from the early '80's metal band of the same name. When I was in high school, I simply loved this band... still do. ^_^
I originally started using the name on eBay over a decade ago, since no one else seems to use that spelling, the name has stuck ever since.
The Avatar and Signature both come from the card Infernal Darkness and features art by one of my all-time favorite artists, Phil Foglio.

My first name is Nic (suprise)! Around 2001 I started DJ'ing small parties and clubs under the name Ndanger. One day someone called me Nic Danger and it just stuck from then on.

If you've never heard of DnB you will probably hate it, you've been warned!

Yea, truth in advertising there, Nic. The first time I ever heard DnB, I commented outloud, "So, this is what the young kids are using to piss off their parents... Nice!"

Mine is a user name I started over a decade ago and has never been used on any forum I've tried. If you find juzamjedi somewhere else it is probably me. Rob Cashwalker actually noticed this because I was featured in one of MaRo's articles for a question I asked him on Twitter.
Annnnyways, my user name comes from my love of Juzam Djinn and Star Wars when I was younger. Back in the good ol' days with Dark Ritual, Juzam Djinn was one of the baddest creatures around. I also played the Star Wars CCG for a while until I decided I couldn't afford both hobbies.
You can pronounce it however you like. Most people giggle when trying to pronounce it though, heh.

A shantak is a minor creature in H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. It's not one I really affiliate with, but I just chose the name some ten+ years ago when I wanted to distance myself from my old common username, Titan (which I felt was just too boring).

My username is taken from my car, a Nissan 240sx... I picked it up years ago when I did a lot of street racing. I have kept it because it is easy to remember.
