Sealed Deck Set Creator

My problem:
I wanted to play sealed deck with a certain set of cards (in this case, all of the cards in my cube that also exist in manalink constructed). I didn't want to manually change the set for every card to make this possible.
My solution:
I wrote an app that reads a text file of card names, and then makes manalink jam all those cards into Unlimited in sealed deck, removing whatever else was previously there. Now I can play cube sealed. Tada!
Here's the app if you're interested, with my cube file also attached for reference.

I learned the hard way that you can't set all cards to the same rarity (which is what I wanted for cube). So you can always just set some basic land to Uncommon and Rare to get around this (see cube.txt)
Note: this will not pull in cards from different versions of manalink.

Any, you just need to get csv2dat to run properly for the other versions (by renaming files, etc).

I used it for your cube.txt file and it worked, so then I went through and made a new .txt with all the cards I wanted that were actually in manalink.csv. This came out to something like 1200 cards, which gave the program an "out of range" error. Through trial and error I figured out that the limit is a little over 1000 cards. Then I tried to run csv2dat, but my computer made a system beep and the dos window that flashes says "something something ERROR something something 0x7BAA2". I did everything but completely reinstall everything in the Magic folder- rebooted, replaced csv2dat, replaced manalink.csv... csv2dat just has the same error every time. Any ideas?

I found two minor bugs:

I have built another custom set for sealed deck tournament. It is inspired by jatill's cube, but I've tried to tweak it a bit for balanced limited deck play. Feel free to edit.

csv2dat.exe is a program in your \magic folder. Just run it once after creating your set.
If you try to add cards that haven't been added to Manalink, the set creator won't find the cards. To get an overview of the available cards, open manalink.csv (constructed) or manalinkL.csv (limited). The names you add to the set have to match the names in the "full name" column.

So in order to modify the Limited version, I'll have to put "e:\magic\manalinkL.csv" (and not the default manalink.csv) into the App to change the Set, right? I just did this (only a few cards were not found, but I guess I didn't put the names right). Then, I ran csv2dat.exe and then ran MagicLimite.exe. The Unlimited set was not changed at all (nor was any other sets for sealed). Any thoughts?
For some reason, I have two Manalink.csv files in my folder. One of them the MS Excel reads with some errors. The other one, by default, is not recognized by any program (I have to choose a program to open it with).
Maybe this has some to do with my problem?

Ok, instead of running MagicLimited.exe directly try running Magic.exe and switch to limited version.
Then play an actual sealed game with only unlimited edition. You should get cards from your set even if it says unlimited.
If that doesn't work, then try the list I've posted above. Just copy everything into a text file and put it into the set creator, choose Manalink.csv. It should execute without an error. Now run csv2dat.exe and Magic.exe and play sealed with unlimited packs. Just try if it works.

It worked with your version. For some reason, the problem seems to be with the Limited.If that doesn't work, then try the list I've posted above. All right, I've tried it for Limited too and I can confirm that it doesn't work.
So it seems that this Sealed Deck Set Creator can only be used for constructed version.

Actually I've never tried for Limited before, but it should work too. Try by renaming following files:
backup cards.dat
backup Manalink.csv
cardL.dat -> cards.dat
ManalinkL.csv -> Manalink.csv
run csv2dat.exe
restore the .dat and .csv files
backup cards.dat
backup Manalink.csv
cardL.dat -> cards.dat
ManalinkL.csv -> Manalink.csv
run csv2dat.exe
restore the .dat and .csv files
