CardArtManalink needs testing before release.HELP TEST IT.

Thanks to the magnificent work made by Snacko we can have all cardart in one file,which is also a lot smaller than the previous 4 cardart files also reduces the card art work of new coded cards and you only have to download the new images and put it in this file!

I have only made the renaming of pictures(it is lots of pictures though.. :lol: ) and test it so none art or alternative is missing(hopefully).

Before we put this great addition to our usual updates it needs some functionality testing,to see what problems will come up,so we need some feedback if this works for you.

1)You better make a copy of your magic folder and test this on the copy.
2)Delete all 4= CardArtNew,CardArtLim,CardArtGY,CardArtNL folders
3)You have to copy everything - overwrite to your "new" magic file.


All images of DecV2 update are supported.

Changes made to cards,cardart:
I had to put some pictures twice to be fully operational due to slight name differences between Manalink versions so don't be surprised if some pictures are twice in the folder it is not a mistake

I haven't done the Shandalar artwork but now it's easy only find the cards needed for Shandalar from CardArtManalink file and copy-paste the already renamed card images to the file CardArtShandalar(make one).

A CardArtManalink file - for Snacko's Dll with art for the new Manalink no 2000 limit (apart the cards that have been removed from the game-and are back again) for those of you that have managed to have it running with card art already.

Back up the magic folders it will overwrite or BETTER test in a copy of your magicfolder

It supports, extra the card art of the pictures:
-that are aproximately coded to the original *
-the pictures of cards with special characters.(the text entries in cards are still wrong)
-Pictures that had wrong names in cardartfolder.

tried it and it is not working for me. deck builder loads up but is missing alot of pics then closes with a debug from visual studio 2005. also tried with the newer cartartlib from the dev page the last one from that and it still dosent work? but will be great if it doesent look for number and the real name..will be great

From me everything is fine: I see al cards with their arts. Too bad that they still use the old GIF background: it makes the text hard to read. Now I should play to see if there is any mistake with alternative arts related to the number in CSV... still, everything looks fine.

Which pictures name a few please?what is your OS?Is it the last version the one you tried it DecV2?
The CardArtLib was the newest,but 2 hours later than my post Snacko released a newer version.

updated the package now it works correctly with deck.exe so you can also test with Mok changes
.(I didn't try it yet).

[/quote]Of course! Months ago (years ago?) a BMP version of those skins has been released: it is much better, an eye-candy to see.

Honestly I don't remember but for sure it is something to be included in the next main release. Probably GMZombie can explain it better than me, since he is caring about graphic too.

my os is windows xp service pack 3, the 3 deck buttons are the only thing that comes up before now its just the background weird blueish colors. and i have tried it in a few of my installations. im using Moks latest 2k1 that he did just not using his cardartlib.dll using snackos. dunno what to do

Copy of current ML update folder NLdecV2 : done
Delete all cardart folder (including the CardArtCus) : done
Copy new files into ML folder : done
Constructed card art quickcheck : no issue so far
Limited card art : All cards art are empty
GY card art : no issue so far
NL card art : no issue so far

for limited you need to copy CardArtLib.dll to CardArtLim.dll as this wasn't done in the package. If custom uses it's own dll then you need to rename it also to CardArtCus.dll. So you get 3 copies of the same dll with different names.

Ok then, Limited card art seems to work flawlessly now, no issue so far on all cards on all mods but Custom though if 2k limit is broken we won't need this mod anymore...

Stassy did you overwrite everything?I believe that I included the CardArtLim in there.Anyway I am not at home to see if it was in the file I will check in few hours,or else I will upload it.

I think I got everything overwritten, I usually go the "select all > drag'n drop > overwrite all" way but as Snacko mentioned the CardArtLim.dll was not provided in the package so this is understandable and easily fixable.

The CardArtLim.dll wasn't at Snacko package but there is in the one I uploaded that's why I am wondering what happened.

fixed it and now it IS working with the full manalink database. I had to get me a fresh copy of original 2.0 then copy over the latest v2 mod. then i made backups of the files that moks 2k1 woulr write over and viola everything is good.

Ok i figured out what is happening with the debug issue. somehow if i use the new artwork in cartart the name converted bmps to pic files it refuses to load on its own, deck.exe that is. Now if i load it up from magic.exe it works fine. With the old .pic files i could load it up on its own? must be some kind of bug i can give out the cardart that i used. here it is
