Your favourite deck ideas - just for fun
Posted: 09 Jan 2012, 14:48What are some of your favourite fun deck ideas to play? I prefer fun decks over powerful ones but I don't have many ideas. Here are a few that I do have:
1) Ultimatums deck: It is prismatic and it uses 4 Violent Ultimatum and 4 Cruel Ultimatum, and it also bounces them back with Gaea's Blessing. You can also use Chandra Ablaze to play all of them from your graveyard for a big finish! And it can even use Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker. It also has Obelisk of Alara which offers nice variety because the deck has all colours. The most fun I get from this deck is making it survive long enough to start playing the ultimatums. Prismatic can be a bit tricky at the start, and I restrict myself from using some very powerful cards like black lotus etc..
2) Bouncey deck: This deck uses creatures with powerful come in to play abilities like Woodfall Primus, Mulldrifter, and Mystic Snake, and then it bounces them a lot! It uses obvious bounce cards like Momentary Blink (which you can play from your GY after using it, so that is 8 bounces total), but it also uses Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring on my own creatures, and then I use Back to Nature to bring them all back again. Although it lacks Galepowder Mage and Flickerwisp in Manalink which makes it even better.
They are fun
But a bit too powerful sometimes. You all got any ideas?
