By "Magic Program Folder" I mean the folder containing the Magic.exe file. In the Full MediaFire Download, this folder is \Manalink 3.0\Program\... just extract there and re-start the game. Let us know if you run into any problems.

I'm attempting to solidify a method of creating Executable ArtMods for the Rogues Galleries (like the other Mods in the Full Download). I've made three Mods from the Classic Rogues we have available using a new BatchFile install. Just dump these with the others inside the \Manalink 3.0\ folder of the Full Download and click 'em. You'll be presented with a menu allowing you to install as Rogues and\or PlayFaces, and whether to add\keep\delete older files. The BatchFile is necessary because of the Rogues.csv file... users must be prevented from applying the same Mod twice, and since you have the option to Add and\or Replace content, the .CSV file has to be built on the fly.
The BatchFile will refuse to install if it cannot find:
File - .\Program\Rogues.csv
Folder - .\Program\PlayFace
Folder - .\Program\Exp1Art\Rogues
.

However, you can force the creation of the above files\folders and perform a Delete\Replace install with the following commandline options:
ArtMod.exe rogues - delete\replace current Rogues Only
ArtMod.exe playfaces - delete\replace current PlayFaces Only
ArtMod.exe anyOtherWord - delete\replace current Rogues and PlayFaces

Questions:
*Do the BatchFiles perform as expected? Do they Delete or Retain the appropriate files when they're supposed to?
*Do they create the Rogues.csv file correctly? Do you have any issues running the game after applying them?

I've tested these rather thoroughly and have found no problems. If there is no dissention, then these are probably the pattern for Manalink Mods to come.

Edit: Updated archive in the 1st post.

* Using grey as background color is usually a no-no for eye users since it's very hard to read, please try contrasting colors as you can see in this webpage(sorry it's french by the images talk for themselves).

I know these colors are also hurting but it make easier to read and beside patching is supposed to be applied only once so it should not be a problem :D

* Your program doesn't work in my ML3 folder because...there is no Program subfolder :D

Missing .\Program\Rogues.csv

I've updated @DIALOG options and the ArtMod archive on the 1st post.

@stassy:
I've changed the contrast to bright letters on a black background and increased the search-capacity of the Mods, so they should work with any install of Manalink\MtG. Give 'em a try, if you haven't already.

So far I didn't notice any big bug, nice work!

Some little pick nick though :
- Maybe add the Magic icon attached to the cmd instead of having the default window bat icon, though I don't know if it's possible to do that.

- Also it's a design choice, but at the end of the install bat, either close all or show the bat window that say install finished. In the current case the bat close and the readme appear but it's not clear if the install ended or not.

- Some icons for counter are not quite visible (the one for Aether Vial for example), grey on grey make it hard to see properly as a global counter image. I know this is not your design, it's just a general issue with some color choice from the original author...

I don't think that's possible for a normal BatchScript, but I could do it if I 'compiled' Install_Me_First!.cmd into an .EXE like I do the Mods.
...at the end of the install bat, either close all or show the bat window that say install finished.
That's a good idea. I'll add an "Install Finished, press any key..." to the end of the batch.

Question: ...do you have any problems running the Mod files? Security issues, Malware warnings, or anything? I had plenty of problems running the Mods on a friend's laptop and was wondering if others may have experienced the same... they run fine for me and I'd like them to work for everyone else.

Because I got so many problems with antiviruses software, I removed all of them and now I only rely on a tight security firewall and at best Microsoft Defenders which ensure minimal protections but enough for me, I won't be able to give you feedback about that =/

...so when you run a Mod.exe it installs without a hitch? Good.

AntiVirus gives me fits too, so I stick with tight firewalls and do most of my wild web searching on a Virtual Appliance... I think my friend may fall into the "overly paranoid" category. ^_^

Well, for any non advanced pc user some antivirus software are a plus for protection, however for a Manalink user that mess up with exe and others files meddling, this is more of a hinder. . . The issue rises when a non advanced pc user try to play ML (but that is why you are here, isnt it, to make ready to play big package ;) )

To CirothUngol,

following headings:
@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_LOSE
@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_TIE
@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_WIN
@SEALDECK_OPPONEDITING

If you'd like new End-of-Duel and SideBoarding comments, you can snag the ones I'm using below. You'll have to manually edit the Text.res file in a text editor to add the following contents under the proper headings. This is necessary because the file Text.res is under active development and you can't just clobber it like you can with Rogues.csv.[code]@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_LOSE

Gotcha! Man... I bet you didn't see that one coming.
Gotcha! You gotta admit... that was rather spectacular!
Gotcha! ...don't be such a sore loser. You wanna play again?
Gotcha! ...and there you have it, another superior game played by me.
Gotcha! ...what?! You didn't expect to win against a Computer, did you?
You're a loser. I can't believe you lost to a computer... HA!
You're a loser. Don't feel too bad, we were all beginners once.
You're a loser. That makes me the winner! Now I get to gloat... nyaa-nyaa.
You're a loser. Seriously?! Was that the best you could do? Sad... very sad.
You're a loser. Well, that felt good... wanna go again?
I've won this hand... and no, I didn't cheat. Not even a little.
I've won this hand. Didn't I win the last hand... and the one before that...
I've won this hand... because I'm a much better player than you.
I've won this hand, and I'll probably win the next... 'cause you're so predictable.
I've won this hand. Winning isn't everything... but losing really sucks. Ha!
I win! Oh yea, that's right... in your face!
I win! So I think that would make you... the Loser.
I win! As a human you must know that you are vastly inferior to my kind.
I win! Again and again I win... why don't you ever get any better?
I win! You lost to a computer... am I the only one who thinks that's funny?
You've lost the game. I don't think that really surprises anyone.
You've lost the game. I'm a computer... it was an inevitable outcome.
You've lost the game. Come on, admit it. I played a really good game.
You've lost the game. You wanna celebrate by playing another hand?
You've lost the game. My grandmother plays a better game of Magic.
You lost. And don't try that mana locked excuse on me bub.
You lost. No...the computer doesn't cheat. Not even a little bit.
You lost. Hey, you could always try badminton.
You lost. So what do you do for an encore, line dance?
You lost. I've played better games against your toaster.

@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_TIE

I didn't win?! We must play again, so I can kill you proper.
OK, that was really lame... dying at the same time like that.
You are a fierce competitor... let us duel again.
A tie? ...really, what are the chances. Tie-breaker time!
We tied? OK, get ready for a tie-breaker.
It's a tie?! That's no way to end a duel. Another hand will settle this...
Really, a tie? That's very unsatisfying... and I demand satisfaction.
The duel was a tie. You've found your equal!
The duel was a tie. At least you didn't LOSE to a computer.
The duel was a tie. At least I didn't LOSE to a human.

@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_WIN

What the..? I can't believe that I just lost to a human.
What the..? But you ALWAYS win... it's not fair, I'm tellin' ya.
What the..? Man, there's nothing more humiliating than losing to a human.
What the..? Another landslide, that was a total massacre!
What the..? Another horrible loss... to a human... when will I ever learn?
I lost?! I'm a computer... how could this possibly happen?
I lost?! ...does not compute ...does not compute ...*sizzle*
I lost?! Ok, so how'd you pull that off? ...no, seriously. How'd you do it?
I lost? But I was so close! That really burns my diodes.
I lost? To a human?! Don't tell the other computers, this is really humiliating.
I lost this hand. That's surprising... you're usually such a poor player.
I lost this hand... and I'm simply not very happy with that. *grr*
I lost this hand. That's weird... I usually kick your butt, don't I?
I lost this hand. That's impossible... you must've cheated. Cheater!
I lost this hand, but it's a new deck, and I'm still workin' out the kinks.
You're a winner. OK, so you won a hand... big whoop.
You're a winner. Well, there's a shock. I didn't think you had it in you.
You're a winner. Yea, yea... Sure, sure... go ahead and gloat.
You're a winner. You really steam-rolled me that time.
You're a winner. That makes me the loser. Sad... very sad.
You've won the game. That'll teach me to stop paying attention to the game.
You've won the game. Again?! When will I ever catch a break?
I've lost the game. That's not supposed to happen... ever.
I've lost the game. Revenge, I seek revenge... one more hand.
I've lost the game. Yikes! That was a massacre. I didn't stand a chance.
You won! Don't gloat, computers are people too.
You won. Give me a bigger swap file and I'll wipe that smirk off your face.
You won. Yeah, but can you beat me using only 1s and 0s?
You won. Of course, I didn't draw enough land...
You won. Wanna play "best 0101 out of 0111"?

Sir, What happens if you remove all the txt here and just leave this;
"
@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_LOSE
@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_TIE
@DIALOG_ENDEXP1DUEL_WIN
"
Im just Pissed of with what the computer says all the time, win or lose.
I just want my computer to accept defeat when it looses and be simple when it wins or it's a tie.
The thing is, I bought my computer for 830000 Yen, and I didn't buy it so that it tells me "F*CKING STUPID THINGS" that piss me off. I own my computer and it has no right to tell me that.
Im the boss inside my own house and I dont wan't my PC to act like it's owning me or bossing me around, and telling me those shity phrases all the time.

A little help please, Sir if you may.

Originally, the game contained only the last few comments, and I added the rest. You could probably get away with just leaving 2 or 3 comments in each section. You could also change them to something more appropriate like:
Wow, you're such a fabulous player!
How did I win, it must have been pure luck.
I'm not worthy of sharing a gaming table with you.

...and so on.
...or here's a thought. Don't read them.

I wonder if you can insert unicode in the comment, that would be very funny like :
"Wow, you're such a fabulous player! Orz"
"I'm not worthy of sharing a gaming table with you. (///_ಥ)"
"ゆっくりしていってね!"
