A couple bugs

Postby zxc » 29 Jun 2013, 06:19

Sorry, don't quite know the normal procedure here.

Forge 1.4.2-r22320, downloaded from the "Forge Beta: 06-28-2013 ver 1.4.2" thread.

When I was prompted to activate Insidious Bookworms' effect, I did so without having the necessary mana. It wouldn't let me back out and cancel the activation, so the game got stuck. Screenshot attached.

In addition, Yawgmoth's Will doesn't seem to work at all during the three or so times I tried.
When I activate it, its token/indicator shows up under the Human Command tab, and the graveyard cards have "May be played", but I can find no way to activate them. Is there some way of viewing and activating graveyard cards that I'm missing besides the icon under the avatar?

Thanks for the report. The normal procedure would be to use Forge's bug reporting facility. Preferences -> Content Downloaders ( #-o) -> Report a Bug. That should open a correct forum thread for report, which in this case happens to be the same thread where you've downloaded the game.

I've just checked this and Yawgmoth's Will... well, kind of works :)

Right under the graveyard button, there is a button with a lightning bolt on it labeled "Cards with flashback". You use this to cast spells from you graveyard and it works after you played Yawgmoth's Will. Yawgmoth's Will, though, does not update the number of available cards on this button immediately (you'd see the change if you waited for the next phase), which is a bug. Also, if you start casting from a graveyard, then cancel it, the card gets exiled, which seems another bug to me. I'm not a rules lawyer, but I don't think cancelled casting of a flashback card should trigger "a card is put into your graveyard from anywhere".

We appreciate the bug report zxc. :) People who are new to the Forge forum should read this topic as it contains useful information: How to Provide a Useful Bug Report.

Thanks for the info. When Forge crashed, it just directed me to the main forum and not a specific thread.*

I actually got a crash just now, so I'll try using the Report a Bug feature.

*Edit: Oh, it still just sent me to the main forum and not the thread. Maybe because my default browser, Firefox, has a bunch of add-ons like NoScript? Anyway, I'll just post in the thread manually.
