I don't think that should matter. The player trying to counter the spell should be paying half of their life total. If the computer was trying to counter it, the computer should have lost 10 life. Otherwise, the human should have lost 7 or 8 life.

Yes that's how the card reads. I was asking for debugging purposes, not to suggest the right amount was being paid. "Was the wrong player's life being used to calculate what half was? Or was it just arbitrarily incorrect?"

 Mercy Killing does not take into account temporary or conditional power adjustments. I had a 6/6 Serra Ascendant that was Mercy Killed and only got 1 token.

Hello,
When using the program I have only run across one bug:
If I cast Geosurge I cannot use any of the 7 red mana in my mana pool.
(No matter how many times I click it will not let me utilize any of the 7 R Mana)

Please try to replicate this, it happens to me every time.
