by Chris H. » 07 Jun 2009, 16:42
This archive contains updated rarity files for MTG Forge 06-06. I added the values for the 25 new cards. This set is not compatible with earlier versions of forge.

He's modest.Rob Cashwalker wrote:Dennis - you didn't specifically list adding EQUIPMENT... just that you added a few equipment cards.... That's such a HUGE feature it should be in big bold letters....

Not at all
I just forgot to mention it... funny too, because that's what was the most time-consuming, probably.

I think I really broke it this time. I've been staring at "Computer's End of Turn - Play Instants and Abilities" after I clicked OK to switch to the beginning of my turn for 6 minutes now and nothing happens.
I have a Mycoloth with 256 counters on it in play and a Rhys the redeemed to double my tokens each turn.
The big empty grey areas left and right of the play area have returned but no double row of tokens yet.
8 minutes, Game still hangs, I'm calling it officially dead now.
That went quicker than I expected. But I have to admit I am not surprised. There must have been close to or even over 2500 tokens in play on my side.
No wonder compy threw the towel. LOL!
And to think I went easy on him! I mean, there wasn't even a single Essence Warden in play!

WOW! Ok, so I just assume there might be some slowdowns caused by the stacking, but nothing serious. It's mostly just the fact that there's just way too many of them

Thanks for testing this, I'll move on to implementing Auras.
I also noticed that for lands you can just click on the top card of the stack, I know how to fix this for moxes, and I can probably fix it for attacking tokens as well.

The slow downs continue regardless of tokens/counters. Even though I have a new machine I have noticed considerable slow downs even after just 1 game and sometimes during the first game of a match, and not merely in Quest Mode.DennisBergkamp wrote:I think I really broke it this time. I do know that it still happens with the incarnations (Wonder, Anger, Valor), so badly that I refuse to play with them.GandoTheBard wrote:The slow downs continue regardless of tokens/counters. Equipment and everything is great. The code monkeys that you are using are really good, keep them (joke). Version 2 may never get written since version 1 is so good. Thanks for the effort.

I would like to second the motion that equipment and the card stacking routines are working fine, from what i can tell. I have not noticed any slow downs either.
I repeated the New Quest action and checked my cards until I received a Behemoth Sledge. I got lucky and found that I also had a Enlightened Tutor. On a couple of occasions, I was able to equip a First Strike creature. That was so much fun.
