What is required to make card art load?
by dannnnv » 21 Dec 2014, 16:22
Still struggling with getting card art loaded in for several sets.
The frustrating part is that I have artwork in .jpg form, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the program to recognize it. I've tried countless combinations of directories and filenames, taking inspiration from existing working art in other folders.
Could someone please inform on what it takes for art files to be recognized?
Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same problem, but it's mostly with recent sets like M15 and KTK.

Hi, you say you've tried countless combinations, so this may not help, but I'll tell you what has worked for me.
The art belongs in some_path/Forge/pics/cards, and possibly under a set folder if you're trying to add it to a specific set. I'm on a Mac, so for me some_path = ~/Library/Caches
The card must be named Card Name.full.jpg. From what I've heard, the '.full' part is quite important. The Card Name must match the name in the card script - presumably including capitalization.
For example, I made a custom card, 'Not Chaos Orb', downloaded the art for Chaos Orb, and renamed it to Not Chaos Orb.full.jpg, then put it in a set-specific folder under ~/Library/Caches/Forge/pics/cards. It loads without trouble!
Hope that helps. Perhaps post the exact things you've tried if it doesn't
