Reset Menus or Fully Reset Forge on My Computer
by chimeras » 11 Jul 2025, 12:34
Hello there!
I have been playing forge for a few years now. Recently, I was trying to pull and edit some menus into place where the Commander Decks and Deck Editor are. One thing led to another and I have now all but completely butchered the menus.
Moreover, I was hoping in the change from 'Forge' to 'Forge 2', these issues would abate completely but apparently, all of the data carried over from one to the other. Previous attempts to fully delete an instance of forge from my Desktop and then re-install it have yielded the same problems: despite a ful wipe and a reset to default for forge, all of the style and statuses for the 'Forge' that I download remember my settings and load in the same, broken version of my menus.
As such, I am asking here for either A: A fix to these menus, of B: a way to fully delete this system's memory of these 'settings' I have and redownload it in its original form.
And, just to make sure, I have multiple times already, tried going to Game Settings> Preferences> Troubleshooting, and then the options 'Reset To Default Settings', 'Reset Editor Layout', 'Reset Match Layout', and 'Reset Workshop Layout'.
Any advice is welcome! And I am open to monetary compensationfor anyone who can help me fix this~!

Hi, deleting the game main folder won't fix your problem. Instead, try searching for a Forge data folder under %appdata%. Delete it, restart Forge and see if it solves the problem. Just be careful to not delete the folder containing all the card pictures!
Cheers

I appreciate your comment so far and am on the lookout to follow through! I am wondering where it is that find this folder at? Looking in my Forge Folder for when I download the application, I don't see a Folder with that anywhere.
Below are pics of my systems folder for Forge. Including in order a pic of the default forge folder, a sub folder with more to choose from, and a search I used for the word 'app', all of which revealed nothing of the sort, sadly. If you have any other advice or somewhere else I can look, please do tell me. And thank you already for your help!
