Font Problem in the ver 1.1.2 rev 9812 Build.

Postby Forger » 20 Aug 2011, 21:32

Hi,

it seems that the fonts are no longer anti-aliased/smoothen correctly in many of the themes.
What I found out so far is that the Windows theme and all smaller ones seem to work fine just like in the last version, the Business theme and the other larger ones, do not.

I attached an image from the start menu and a smaller one from the "deck builder", it should be easy to see, especially if you zoom further in you can even see how the anti-aliased/smoothen works, should you ever have wondered about that.

Hopefully you can figure out the problem and fix this, as I really prefer the larger themes with smoothing a lot.

is this called clear type or cleartype or something? it really is amazing how smooth antialiasing can make things look.

edit: does toggling Options, Use LAF Fonts change anything?

I tried LAF Fonts, but sadly it didn't change anything visible for better or worse, in either version.

And yes ClearType is what it's called, saw that option in Windows itself, makes a nice difference there too, I just noticed.
