Having spent countless hours playing Fantasy Quest mode, I made a change to the Hard level to take all the commons and uncommons out of the initial packs and prize packs. On the Quest Preferences, I set the Booster Pack Ratio to 14 rares, and in the Difficulty Adjustments, I made Hard identical to Expert in terms of wins, but changed the starting rares to 100, and starting uncommons and commons to zero.
This changes the dynamics of the game in odd ways. You tend to get power pretty easily, but you also have a hard time finding simple efficient cards and good spot removal. Your curve generally starts around 4, but often gets much stronger after that. I usually only get to about 40 wins before I want to start over and try again, but if you're bored with the regular quest, give it a try.
