It would be nice to have some sort of visual mode for drafting. Being able to see the card images side by side when making a pick is much more user friendly than a list IMO.

Is it possible to make it so that you can scroll the text in the card detail panel up and down using the mouse-wheel while hovering over the card itself?
Also, I know I've posted this before but I don't remember where: I'd really appreciate a card's color identity being explicitly indicated somewhere in the card detail panel. The border only tells you whether it's mono colored or multicolored, and it would be nice to keep track of color-changing and color-adding effects.

1 comment box
Some cards only in English,Some rules do not understand (do not understand the language), you can copy it to Google Translate and then copied to the tab bar (sub-tab page, you can customize the name) can import and export, to achieve resource sharing comments
2, different attributes indicators, different colors

There should be a way to handle repetitive interactions like comboing with Auriok Salvagers.
Something like a prompt to insert the number of times I want to do a fixed group of actions (for istance retriving Black Lotus, playing it and sacrificing for 3 white mana).
P.S.: I've been playing with svn version without noticing crashes since a week. Nice work!

Can we be given the ability to make totally custom draft cubes in the game i.e., let us pick the 360-450 individual cards that will go into the cube, name it, then enter a draft with it?

Ok I know this is going to sound like a huge unreasonable request but it would be the height of cool if you could pull it off. I recently stumbled across a random magic card generator:
www . toothycat. net / wiki / bnf.pl?page = AlexChurchill / MagicCardGenerator
(remove the spaces to use the URL, the board software won't let me post the link properly)
Could something like this be added to Forge that creates functional cards? I wouldn't care if the AI could use them effectively, just being able to draft a deck with this whacky stuff (and maybe print proxies for real play?) would make me the happiest person alive.

I would say that it's highly unlikely. Our general alignment is to only have canon cards (we don't even add Un set cards), so having a generator to create random abilities seems unlikely. If you know how to program, you could probably write a utility that would do it for your personal use (or even to share with your friends).Rutibex wrote:Ok I know this is going to sound like a huge unreasonable request but it would be the height of cool if you could pull it off. It was implemented long ago. Without a visual editor though.otherright wrote:Can we be given the ability to make totally custom draft cubes in the game i.e., let us pick the 360-450 individual cards that will go into the cube, name it, then enter a draft with it?
open the /res/cube folder and find there some sample cube descriptions. You may just create a regular deck in forge deck editor and copy the saved deck file there.
Next, pay attention to /res/draft and /res/sealed folders - there are some text files that describe sealed and draft modes for you cube, that is booster strcuture, number of packs to draft, the set used for basic lands.

The un-cards will definitelly require some extra mechanics, "like count letters in a card name", "filter cards by artist", or even "measure player's height" - the latter being totally unclear in implementation (for cards like Man of Measure). So the only cards that can be added from there are basic lands - that is the same restrictions as for regular tournaments.friarsol wrote:I would say that it's highly unlikely. The random properties generator is impossible to make because computer is totally unaware of parameters for each mechaincs it could define. We didn't even make a simple visual cards editor, not to mention a random card generator.
@sol, as for custom sets - I think Forge should be released with canonical cards only, but allow players to define their own sets, probably distributing them as DLC. That's one of the reasons I've changed edition description format yesterday.

I agree if I wasn't clear. Releases should only have "official" cards available. There are plenty of possibilities of handling Custom Card sets, although they'll mostly have to live under the limitation of what our scripting engine can handle.Max mtg wrote:@sol, as for custom sets - I think Forge should be released with canonical cards only, but allow players to define their own sets, probably distributing them as DLC. If you start a new quest with a custom cube you get a predefined deck with 1 of each card at the beginning. I'd prefer it if you'd only get some random cards from the cube (like in each other format).

Wow! I was unaware of that. Thanks. I'll make sure to make good use of it.Max mtg wrote:It was implemented long ago. I don't know if I've missed this somewhere - but can we have some semblance of either volume controls, or a disable all sounds button please? It's a lot louder than everything else on my computer!
**** EDIT ****
Nevermind. Wasn't scrolling the window far enough!

I would like a way to separate the constructed decks by format, for example make the interface able to recognize subfolders on the constructed folder.
