Same here. Stuck at "Loading cards from archive". Before and after res files update.
Version .40.001 works. And thanks for the release!
Guys I have a question to anyone. I put all ccghq xlhq cards onto my micro SD card for Forge Android. I'm on a Sony Xperia Z1, which has a 1920x1080 resolution. I must say, more than in the Desktop forge, I see that Moiré pattern on my Z1. Anyone else? Not sure what I want to do now. I'm thinking about postprocessing all xlhqs, anyone know a good/cheap algorithm for batch processing?

As for me, since the patch the game launch but when I try to load my quest I get the "loading quest" screen and it never loads.
I can however quit by using the previous button, so the game is not frozen.

Hi,
I'm a long time wagic player and recently found out about forge.
first things first,
Forge is amazing. Works well, looks well.
It has all kind of support and most importantly, it's alive and improving(wagic has been stale for a few years now).
My opinion on the android version is that:
* Landscape would be sweet. I play on an N10 tablet and portait is just a waste of the excelent screen space. Landscape mode layout on such on big tablet screens could just be the same as the desktop version.
* Can we set the picture images on a zipped folder?(one per set) on a phone/tablet the compression would really save up precious storage space.
* Download LQ pictures on the app seems to freeze the app(dunno if it's doing anything on the background)
Finally,
Thank you for your hard work!

For those having problems with .002, here's a link to the last stable build:
http://cardforge.org/android/releases/f ... ligned.apk.
You'll just need to click Ignore when prompted to install the latest update until I give the all clear. I'll try to investigate the issues and release a fix as soon as possible.
That said, I'm able to reproduce the quest loading issue, but not the issue where people are getting stuck on the splash screen while cards are loaded. Could one of you please provide me with the contents of Forge/data/forge.log to aid in my investigation of that issue.
Thanks.
-Dan

jpegs aren't compressable. At least not relevant at all. Maybe with some mega ultra 7zip whatever format you save like 0.5%? ... Well, as they are already a lossy/compressed format.philocritus wrote:* Can we set the picture images on a zipped folder?(one per set) on a phone/tablet the compression would really save up precious storage space.
Drdev, now after upgrading again from 40.001 to .002 I don't get the stuck problem either. Something must be different...

I just released 1.5.40.003, which should fix the issue with loading quests. I also was able to fix the problem that was preventing deck favorites from saving.
If anyone is still getting stuck on the splash screen, please let me know.
Thanks.

maybe I was a bit naive on the compression ratio. you're right.bevryde wrote:jpegs aren't compressable. At least not relevant at all. but then again zipping the folders has it's advantages:
* faster copy to tablet/phone(they are pretty slow with a lot of files)
* since internal storage is usualy fat32 the space usage is bigger the more files you have due to the block size(ex. I have the LQ sets which take about 618mb but on reality it's 700mb. on the HQ images that would double)
* easier to share
again.. i'm not complaining but it could be a good improvement!
I came here to post the log on the quest freeze but guess drdev found out already

thanks for the new version, will try it tomorrow

I tried to send it to you but the site wouldn't let me attach files over 2mb. However, I've just manually deleted the /forge/ directory, downloaded the lastest .apk, and installed the app (note that I didn't go into the app manager on the phone and uninstall the app; I just installed over the top of it after manually deleting the content).drdev wrote:Could you send me the contents of forge.log in Forge/data? That may reveal the problem.JediWombat wrote:

Otherwise, I'm not sure what could be going wrong. Have you had problems with any other apps on the S6?
The app now loads perfectly and seems to be working quite well. I'm not sure if that was me deleting the content, or if the new version fixed whatever the problem was, but either way, I'm once again playing Forge every day.
Thanks, Dr. Dev

I tried to load my quest and it is giving me an error. I also can't post it because "Your post looks too spamy for a new user, please remove off-site URLs."

Options are good and yeah, single files can be easier copied. My pictures folder is >10GB and such option would never be useful. So when, say, DTK came out, you'd create a new zip package and put the whole beast on SD again, instead of adding a few jpegs? Also, the cost may be high, lag when scrolling through cards, because Forge would have to unzip on the fly...philocritus wrote:but then again zipping the folders has it's advantages:

Yeah, the need to unzip on the fly would sort of negate any gain from having them stored that way. The big thing would be the ability to download them zipped and unzip immediately, which would decrease the time it takes to download them. If you're concern is space and not download time, I'd suggest switching to lower quality images, at least for sets you don't care as much about.bevryde wrote:Options are good and yeah, single files can be easier copied. I have reverted to 1.5.39 thanks to your link and it worked fine, thanks.
Now I see that there is a 1.5.40.003 version available, does this version fix the Quest not loaging bug ?
Thank you in advance.
