If it helps give direction, out of that list, the two cards I want more than anything is Worldheart Phoenix and Ancient Ziggurat. I already know the complications with mana restrictions has been looked at for a while now, but I don't know the progress towards it.

Is anyone working on split cards? Forge already has kicker and alternate casting costs, so it doesn't seem out of reach...

I believe the problem with the split cards is the wacky way that they determine their mana cost, like how Life//Death has both a cost of 1 and 2 and its CMC is 1+2.

It's a bit more complex than that, you may exile Life//Death to a Sickening Shoal for X=2. In this case it counts the cc and color of the spell "Death". Same for Supply//Demand with Shining Shoal, you can choose X=2 or X=3, but NOT X=5. However, Dark Confidant will make you lose 3 life when you draw Life//Death and 5 life when you draw Supply//Demand.
